Yeah agree, he's doing ok - 1 goal every 180mins played in a team scoring every 65mins, but he’s not a 20 goals a season player and less so at a higher level than he is currently playing at. Which questions whether 9 is his best position. Think he should be tried as a 10, as he does naturally tend to drift out of position and drop deep, and his strengths are, imo, linking play/ creating for others. He has been at his best for us when able to play off a second striker so could work.
Scored tonight in a 4-0 win. I thought he was out for most of the rest of the season for some reason. Nice little boost!
Started tonight and got himself a goal and an assist on his return from injury.
And a red!
That's mad - he'd been subbed off just past the hour but was sent off in the last minute. Some post-match aggro maybe?
Very Dutch, I must say. Van Gogh would be proud!
2 goals today. They have one league game left. If they remain in the relegation playoff position he would get maybe another 4 games which would be great
Excelsior are playing local rivals Feyenoord I away in the final game next week, and RKC Waalwijk, who are level on points with Excelsior but ahead on goal difference, face champions PSV.
I can see both teams losing, which would put excelsior into the play offs
Ruud van Nistelrooy made a career out of those sort of goals in fairness. Gotta be in position to score them.
first one is a bit lucky whatever. love the 2nd though, brilliant movement behind the defender. love seeing him score these types of goals. please please please make a good decision this summer Troy. NO championship move please.
Tets have you kept in touch with the Dutch guy you had on your podcast talking about Parrott. Seems there's some Twitter talk that AZ Alkmaar are possibly interested in Parrott.
