We are currently relying on L1 players mostly in attack , outside of robinson. Parrott has been very good at L1 level this year but with covid stuff forcing him to lose his place hes lost out on a bit of game time over past few weeks. If Parrott settles on being a top 8ish club level Champ player over his career it'll be good enough for Ireland. His next loan move is key, very important he gets sent to the right club.

    Parrott didn't get covid I don't think?

He just got dropped. He's been in squads - on the bench, sometimes used and sometimes not - and the Ireland squad of course, which wouldn't be the case if he was quarantining?

I think it's easy too early alright to say he won't make a decent career. But I'd question the logic of continuing to call him (and Idah) up for the national team while their club form is as it is.

Be interesting to see Keane get a run in March. And obligatory Scott Hogan reference

He was missing the first two league games after the international break because of Covid. Whether he had it or not because they said covid protocols so could have been a close contact. Though missed their league game before the internationals for personal reasons. Unfortunately for Parrott since he last played O'Riley and Twine have been in top form.

Getting sent off was idiotic last night because now you're sitting on the bench for a further three games after missing four league games while both lads can continue their good form making it harder to get back in the team. Though could possibly see O'Riley moving in January. He's had interest from bigger clubs before he joined MK Dons and there's nothing about how long his contract is but if he's smart he wouldn't have signed anything over 2.5yrs when he joined last January. If O'Riley moves Parrott will probably come in to play with Twine supporting either Watters or Eisa.

Well his club form now is seven weeks with 30 minutes of league action. If that changes, then fine. But it needs to change I think.

I watched parrots sending off on one of the football websites.. zero tolerance for the style of aggression but hopefully he doesn't get hit with a 3 match ban..
.. he was aggressive but not violent. Anyone who's had any kind of altercation would say that was not an actual headbutt..

Doesn't excuse that he should know better .. I thought the foul parrot gave away was silly too. He was poorly trying to shield the ball and got tangled.. the whole thing looks awful.

All in all he would want to be taking stock of the first half of the season and learn a lesson or two.. which is what loan is all about.. fingers crossed he gets the message. Public put down from the manager may help too. If it doesn't they there is no hope for troy..

The other fella should have got sent off for striking out. I don’t know if he was from the footage I saw.

I reckon that sometimes Irish Lads have to be that bit better behaved. Some of those English refs might not be as even handed as everybody would like, especially down the divisions.

Been watching most of the extended highlights of their games, while he doesnt have the numbers of goals/assists likes of scully does his expected stats and general play numbers are pretty good. his movement there for that chance was excellent , something that has stood out this season in what ive seen. I didnt expect him to lose his place so hopefully as you say he can get it back sooner rather than later.

Great run, good hand off ( was it a foul ? ) You’d wonder why he did not get the shot off sooner ? Did the ball do something un-expected. Why did he have to have, the knee touch, and then the old hit it too well shot ! !

Agree - at a higher level the defender may have got back to him. Is he left footed? If not was a super hit with his left.

Trending towards his 3rd failed loan spell in senior football. Corbeanu, their new loan striker, just scored. After a promising start, Troy has dwindled again. He’s banking on injury to get back into the side properly it seems, may need to move on again this month considering their new loan striker is off to a great start (Corbeanu was v good as well last match apparently)

And what a goal it was https://twitter.com/alex_makel/statu...810023937?s=21 pack your bags Troy. Twine, Eisa and Corbeanu all comfortably ahead of him.

Hm - dodgy keeping for it methinks...

    (Joke!!)

Easy to get to thinking that Ferguson is only doing the same as what Parrott did before him. There's a big step up from 23s to the proper game. Obviously Parrott's only young yet - though you wonder if there's extra pressure on him now that he's an international regular? Though that's probably reading too much into it in fairness.

I certainly wouldn’t give up on parrott yet, still finding his way. But just needs to keep playing football, he’s 20 next month. It seems that he needs to move on from Mk dons to get regular football until end of season. They’ve basically replaced with with the Wolves loan signing
