Who would go Prem ? Glen Celtic, Village , Temple and Greenwood? There would be 4 teams left in Prem A from last year then (if City Wanderers confirmed as gone)

Should the AUL just abandon the Prem A?

    Looks like city wanders staying.

You have 3 very good teams in corkbeg, Springfield and Donoughmore who will be good enough( on last years sides). Not sure about the rest in the 1st division

This taking a year out is ******, these teams don't deserve to go back in the higher divisions if that happens going forward again.

Knocka have done absolutely fantastic work to go from third up to Prem, if they go out then they should start at division three again however.

Glen Celtic went into division one, won the double. Would have done the same in third. Make them work for it through the years to get back up.

I can’t figure the year out stuff either are these guys going to gi from playing at the top level to taking a year out doesn’t add up.
Where do these players go in the mean time?

There has to be a reason for teams not to leave be it a points deduction if you return with in a set time frame.

Going to be some restructuring of divisions.
    8 out for 4 in.

Continued exodus of top teams from the Aul each year, standard is gone way down. Gone are the days you really had to earn your silverware by beating numerous top teams. Based on last year , Coachford are the team to beat - and im told they will be next to leave AUL next year. They were too late applying this season. Be the weakest Prem in a long time.

Premier won't be easy but the lower league could turn out that way .

What do lads think about what’s happening with GAA clubs across the county having to stand teams down for short periods of time due to potential Covid Cases.

The issues are going to arise when the AUL resumes might not have the same impact as AUL is played on a league basis as opposed to knockout.

Will definitely lead to a longer season.

Also hearing the AUL have 49 teams this year vs 52 starting last year.
    Down 3 in total

I think lads should have to self isolate after returning from holidays or else get a test to speed up their return. Same for symptom based risk.
I can see some teams having to do the same as GAA as time goes on and games getting called off but it looks like a necessary step.

Would have been handy if we had returned two weeks earlier to get some night games in. Praying for a vaccine ASAP. For many like me, a lot of the week revolves around football so here's hoping it works out.

Any word on a Prem A or not?

So safe to say if you have a game and your pulling a stunt all you say is wev a few lads self isolating can't field a team ..aul will have to be very strong on rules .

From what I’ve heard there will be a prem A.

Ya that is a concern for the aul of clubs trying to pull a stunt re players social isolating.

There will be knock on implications one would think particularly if any other team will have to self isolate as a result.
There will be contacting tracing etc.

You would feel if any club was found guilty of try to pull a fast one a points deduction or a fine should be in place to deter them from doing so.

Obviously there will be occasions where teams will have to stand down for a period of time over a potential Covid case and clubs should be encouraged to stand down immediately if they have a suspected case.

This will be a big job for the Aul

I asked about knocka and he didn’t think they were one of the teams gone but he wasn’t 100% sure.

Temple B could be the 50th team they were hoping to get one more team to make 50

Seems to real hunger for lads to play ball this season. From the few pre season games I’ve taken in I think the standard appears quite good. A lot teams seem to have big squads and others like temple, Greenwood and Coachford entering second teams. I think the few months locked up at home might be one of the best things that happened to junior football. Think it could be a great season providing we don’t all have to isolate again for months!

Is there really a need to post that silver mint? Stupid comment on a new club. Give them a break.
