You still gotta feel for the clubs going for honours .

2 pieces of news for ye in relation to the CBL, first and foremost the 2019 / 2020 season will not be completed.

Secondly, we have just announced a partnership with CR Coaching to provide some support and coaching sessions to our clubs when football does return.

So as we are still in Lockdown I was wondering how many teams had left the AUL recently . if the 5 clubs get accepted to the MSL it will change my figures slightly but not much . Did anyone hear anything about appeals?
I compared the league tables from 2013/2014 season with the current league tables . Made for some interesting reading.
82 teams played in the 2013/14 season
51 teams played in the 2019/20 season that represents a loss of 37%in 6 seasons
If the rumoured clubs that have applied to leave are left go that will leave 43 teams in the aul which would mean that league would have lost 48% of competing teams over 7 season’s .
So where did clubs go ?
Kilreen Park Lakewood and Carrigtowhil left for Msl taking 6 teams
Clubs like Ballinhassig Douglas Carrigaline who were already Msl but had kept teams in aul left accounting for 4 teams
Clubs that folded their 2nd teams account for 9
Clubs that folded out right account for 12 Blarney Street Fairview Glenvale De Croucey Albion Afton Villa Hillington Shandon Celtic Dillions Cross Greenmount Millstreet Leeview Glanworth
Clubs that moved to another league body other then Aul account for 2 teams 1 to Limerick Desmond and another to West Cork League.
The above figures are to best of my knowledge but it shows that either interest in football is falling across the board or is it just that Clubs have lost interest in the aul ? But then looking at clubs that have folded 2 teams it looks like football has fallen in general or have those players moved to other leagues clubs? Also with the break in football we just had and with the country heading for another economic crash we could possible see clubs struggle to finance themselves and might have to fold.
In 2019/20 67 teams played in MSL/MJL. In 2013/14 58 clubs played in MSL/MJL that’s an increase of 9 teams so that league grew by 15%
The Cork Business league currently has 19 teams I couldn’t find old tables to compare
West Cork League had 20 teams in 2019/20 season same couldn’t find old tables to compare
Looking at what Clubs are left you could possibly see Coachford Kanturk Greenwood and Corkbeg leave as well all have good facilities and all have an under age structure to feed the club if they were to go aswell just stating its possible they would have similar stuctures to other clubs that have left .
