Hobbled off against Chelsea with a very unfortunate ankle injury. The type of hyper extension that tend to damage ligaments and put you out for 4-6 weeks.
The curse of the promising young Irish player continues.
Yeah, Robinson seems to be favoured to Karlan Grant at present by Allardyce. He defends from the front when he is centre forward and if Allardyce plays a more out and out 9 like Grant or Robson-Kanu, he shifts Robinson to an attacking midfield spot and he seems to have a good work rate there too.
It will be interesting to see where Allardyce invests this January. Even if he goes and signs an experienced and goalscoring centre forward, I think Robinson will still get plenty game time through the middle or on the flanks.
Can only be good for Ireland given we are still a couple of years short of having more options.

Headed in a nice goal in the season opener today away to Bournemouth.
First of two Irish goals. Robinson with their second.
He's gone and scored again. 2 in 3. And it's not a fluke. He looks to be incredibly comfortable here.

Himself and Robinson look to be right buddies.
Callum Robinson has scored one himself. That is 3 in 3 for him.
Out for 4-6 months after his injury in Portugal. Big blow for him, and of course misses the rest of the campaign now.

I can't bring myself to thank that post. That's an awful blow. He'd started the season brilliantly too.
You can't spell failure without FAI
It looked nasty on the night alright. Shame for him.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.
I missed this a couple of weeks ago: O'Shea due to resume training in January, well ahead of schedule.

Wonderful to see, hopefully he can finish the season strongly.
Resumes full training on Monday. Great to see!
Makes his return to the senior squad tonight after playing 90mins for the U23s on Monday. Robinson, Molumby, and Gardner Hickman all on the bench too.

Quotes here from Bruce which sum up this lad. Combine his attitude and aggression with his good footballing ability and you can see why the likes of me rate him so highly.
That injury against Portugal looked dreadful at the time. His foot was left after him and I thought the ankle was in big trouble. No fear he'd take a stretcher off the field though.
From Mailonline (13 July): Burnley keen to sign O'Shea, to replace Collins.
Think O'Shea should consider his options with only a year left on his contract and find himself a new club in the next 12 months.
Steve Bruce plays rotten football and West Brom went backwards quick when he was brought in mid season to replace Ismael.
