St Pauli are my choice. Went to see them this season v Lubeck, and they were fantastic, it took me back to the way football used to be in the days before football became a corperate product. Over twenty two thousand for each game even though they now play in the Northern regional league in Germany. Plus they get over a thousand people to watch their reserve games and youth teams.

There not just a football club, their more like a movement, would defo recomend a trip to see St Pauli, more so if you like Punk and Ska music, cause you'll hear plenty of that in the pubs around the ground.
Its crazy to see people be what society wants them to be but not me.

The greatest fans in the world are the one's who quite simply love their team no matter what league they're in or what position they're in and the one's who bust their b0ll0cks in getting to as many games as they can, when they can.

    Any GENUINE football fan really.

agree with sylvo and pat o banton I have a few friends who st pauli fans and they say they are great, all the time.
irish/english(apart from the scum element) fans could fill stadiums twice or three times over.
and of course drogheda united fans are great....

AFC Wimbeldon, anyone? Takes guts, determation and genuine love to turn your back on regular english league football just to keep a club you love's identitiy. That's loyalty in my books.

Because the vast majority of irish "fans" are complete idiots who don't know the first thing about how to support a team. They wander along to 5 or 6 games a season, chant a few times and then watch the rest of the season from their barstool.

Are we talking nicest fans or best fans? By saying Galatasary had brilliant support I wasn't in any way condoning the stabbing of those two English hooligans a few years back I was merely pointing out that the athmosphere they create at games in support of their team is brilliant.

I'm open to correction but I thought the two people stabbed were merely 'fans' and not 'english hooligans'??

the 37000 napoli fans who show up every week in the san paolo to support their team in serie C1B (the 3rd division southern group) might disagree

true bout st pauli and anti fascism etc. but up til 1981 they averaged crowds of 1,500.then the club became a sort of cult, and quickly got to the level of support it has now.theyve only been what they are since bout 25 years ago

true bout the big match=great atmosphere syndrome.but what dyou expect from english clubs?

i remember chelsea hammering galatasary 5-0 in the ali sami yen stadium back in 1999/2000. even at 5-0 down the galatasaray fans sang constantly, thousands of them singing to drum beats as if they were winning 5-0.there was no difference in the atmosphere from the gala fans regardless of the game being 0-0 or 5-0

good mention for afc wimbledon btw. milton keynes fc?sickening
