Why wouldn't ye have a league this season didn't ye have 1 last year
The real question is will we have a league this season
Why wouldn't ye have a league this season didn't ye have 1 last year
Is there any official start date yet? Gonna be very hard for teams to have a proper preseason.
15th of September I believe.
Cormac Roche gone to Janesboro according to an interview with Aidan Ryan, big loss for Abbeyfeale.
Paul Sheahan gone to regional as well
I see the ref's have "accepted" the only eye witness account of the happening so the season looks like it'll start as scheduled and the team involved ride off into the sunset, i for one am shocked
Refs back is good ... going by previous posts those two boys are huge losses to Abbey & Glin... any word on anymore leaving ?? I saw on Broadford Facebook page there looking for new manager... surprise to see after good season
Clubs voting back in the outgoing committee left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. One or two of them conducting themselves appallingly throughout the debacle but were voted back in unopposed. With no one new seeming to have any interest in challenging the status quo the league is set to limp on. Oh well at least we can look forward to weekly updates from the PRO on how great Abbeyfeale are
Gavin Dillon gone to st Michael's can anyone confirm?
Hard to see anyone step up to contend with the top 3. I think Abbeyfeale and Broadford will end up fighting it out for 2nd place again, unless Newcastle West pull it together which I don't think will happen. I think the battle at the bottom will be better than recently and much tighter. I think the quality of the 2 teams coming up is much better than recent years. Adare have a good young side not afraid to play football and Kilcornan have a good mix of youth and experience. I think it'll finish something like
Rathkeale
Broadford
Abbey
NCW
Ballingarry
Glin
Adare
Kilcornan
Carrig
Granagh
Division 1 I think will be between Killeaney, Rathkeale B and Breska. I think Kildimo will follow Athea in getting relegated 2 years in a row. Shannonside might pull themselves together again
Killeaney
Rathkeale B
Breska
Shannonside
Creeves
NCW B
Shountrade
St Itas
Kildimo
Ballysteen
I would fancy Athea to come straight back up from Division 2 with considerable ease with Glantine to follow them. Askeaton and Pallaskenry to put up the biggest fight
There'll be an Oscar Traynor team this year, managed by Jim Neenan with Gary Egan and Tom Kelly as assistants. Squad has already been named and can be seen in the image.

Good to see the inter league team back.
You do realise Athea are fairly likely to have no team? So how can you say they'll get up with ease is funny.
I think Adare will struggle, especially with Adare football Semi final etc likely to over lap with first 2 or 3 games. This will effect a couple of players.
I think the rest is a fairly good guess. Mountcollins have a junior team and Ballingarry don't have a B team.
Really? That would be some fall from grace if Athea had no team. I was basing that opinion on the fact that they are a decent ball playing side, never thought they could possibly have no team. I don't think Adare football overlaps too much with the soccer and I hear they have a few decent signings made.
Who have Adare signed? I think it’ll be a battle for them to stay up but then again for the last couple of season there has been about 4 adare lads playing with Rathkeale. If they went back be huge for adare and a bit of a loss for Rathkeale.
I think your league table above won’t be far wrong btw. I’d nearly swap abbey with broadford, I know abbey have lost 1/2 but I believe broadford have too. Brosnan is gone to Canada and scored 20 plus goals last season according to their Facebook page. A huge loss to them!!
I hear Breska Rovers are entering a B team this season as well
