I heard Carrig Celtic we’re struggling to get a squad together? Hardly down to that?
Why is there only 4 matchs in the premier league ?
Have AK United changed their name back to kilcornan ?

So.. a few surprises in the tables. 30 teams.
3x10.
New teams:
Breska B, Carrig B, Mountcollins, Askeaton B
Teams gone:
KB A, KB B, Feenagh, Ferry Rangers, Ferry Rangers, Rockhill and NCW 3rd team was pulled around march. Ballingarry B went early last season.
A net loss of 2/3 teams so really.
2 extra promoted to Div 1: Pallaskenry and Knockaderry (who came 5th in fifth in div 2)
Fixtures see Askeaton A v B on opening day.
Broadford v Carrig (Premier division) not on this weekend. Any reason?
Would it not have made sense to push askeaton up to div 1 and not have two teams in the same division ?
In fairness they had more than likely already asked Pallaskenry and Knockaderry to move up. I presume Athea and the Glantine asked not to be pushed up.
Which is totally fine I think, Hopefully all the B teams can stay going for the year, ill rephrase that hopefully all teams can keep going for the year.
That I don't think that a club having 2 teams in the same division does happen very often, in the Mayo league this season with 2 games left, Ballina Town B won the Premier Division winning 17 and drawing 1 of their 18 games. But will not be promoted to the Super league as their A team are still in with an outside chance of winning the Super League. The 2 clubs who finished 2nd and 3rd, Glenhest and Swinford will be promoted to the Super League next season instead, this has allways being the policy.
Its always been the case that 2 teams from same club weren't allowed in the same division - over the years there's been a good few instances of B teams not getting promoted due to it
Ya Ballistinianlad - the only scenario where the B team would be promoted there is if the A team went up to the premier, or down to div 2
Do the district league allow it? lot more B and C teams in there, must happen more regularly
I know the argument against it is there's potential for manipulating results - from what I've seen there isn't a B team in the world would roll over for their A's!!!
My understanding it is only allowed in the bottom division to have two teams from the same club, I'm sure it would have happened going back when Abbey/Newcastle would have had 3 teams at some stage or other.
The problem is that Division 1 and premier can have a max of 10 teams as per rule so if they had already asked Pallaskenry and Knockaderry they couldn't track back, The only Division aloud more than ten is the bottom div, I could be wrong do.
FAI Junior Cup draw, couple of typos.
2019/20 Oscar Traynor Trophy (begins in October)
Kerry League v Desmond League
Limerick & District League v Clare League
Desmond League v Limerick & District League
Clare League v Kerry League
Kerry League v Limerick & District League
Desmond League v Clare League
Top 2 in group qualify for the quarter-finals
Presumably askeaton a and b will play each other the first two weeks ? To avoid any possible complications.
Also I understand that the usual b team player is allowed to play 4 games for the a team is null and void in this case.
Predictions for first weekend:
Rathkeale vs Granagh HOME
Adare vs Ballingarry AWAY
Abbeyfeale vs NCW DRAW
Kilcornan vs Glin AWAY
Munster Junior Cup draw.
Adare 0:1 Ballingarry
Rathkeale 1:1 Granagh
