Heard Ferry Rangers not going to have a team this season either due to low numbers.
Sure Clubs must have handed in Registration form at Delegate meeting, surely we would be in the know if teams are not going to have teams at this stage.
Anything official from any of these clubs, Division 2 looking like it will be poor showing so far.
The younger generation seem to be struggling to stick at it for whatever reason.
Ballysteen not entering a team this season
Yeah unfortunately.
Numbers always been tight. Extremely hard with no underage teams etc.
Manager for the last few years left at end of last season. Players getting older. Some carrying too many injuries as well.
Usually a relegated team is kept up but athea struggling too
Hearing that KB won't be fielding either, two fine pitches that will be lying idle for a lot of the year. 10 teams in Premier with 8 teams in Divisions 1 and 2 supposedly. Pity to hear these various teams dropping out, hopefully they can return at some stage.
KB wont field at all
Jesus thats a shock - between the two you'd have thought they'd have at least one decent team
Getting serious for the league , all the teams folding . Feenagh , ballysteen , KB ( ballyhahill) , ferry (tarbert) , rock hill ( bruree) are still able to field good football or hurling teams .
Kb not having a team this year. Most of their players gone to glin and rathkeale
I reckon league will be more open this year. Broadford finished last year very strong, Abbeyfeale seem to have got weaker. Glin are a great cup team but if they were a bit more consistent could challenge. Heard AK are not to bad and NCW have strengthened. Rathkeale still favourites for me but only just.
KB not having a team is a massive shock, Surely they would be able to manage one team between the two clubs.
Hopefully Full time Productions can give the league a must needed social media profile this year, we need something to make it attractive again.
Most of the fixtures out, good to be back.

Feenagh confirm they won’t be fielding a junior team
Having been involved with one of the teams that have pulled out this year. I can say there are a number of factors causing the reduction in teams this year.
1.In general over last few years there has been a decline in players number with more retiring and less younger players joining (not just in Soccer also in GAA). 2.There isn’t the same emphasis in team sports as there was say 5 years ago.
3.Also a lack of interest and people getting fed up due to the manner in which the league is run. The fact you only get fixtures a week in advance stops people being able to plan holidays etc.and it also prohibits clubs from avoiding clashes with other sports(e.g GAA games). If you had more notice it would be easier to organize changes.
Also the delays last year meant you had no flow to the seasons. Even excluding the delay for the refs strike. There was teams with breaks of 4 weeks and a game then another break of two or three weeks.
Sad to see so few teams entering but not sure what will drive interest back up again!
