I got my figures from STIGonline up to the end of the 2005 season, then added on the rest myself. Are the STIGonline ones accurate?
What I have:
Quigley 82, McNally 195, Shorthall 31, Tony Mc 293, Doyle 49, McWalter 101, C. Byrne 32, P. Byrne 35.
What I have:
Sammo 9 (7 last season, 2 this season), Shorthall 2.
Does the Dublin City expunged game explain some of your discrepancies?
It was for a few, but a few of the other errors are more than 1 off or are not for players that played in that match. Here is the full list:
Code:Darren Quigley 81 Matt Gregg 11 Alan Mahon 215 Damien Kelly 4 Conor Kenna 97 Alan McNally 194 Brian Shorthall 37 Evan McMillan 4 Ian Bermingham 9 Killian Gallagher 3 Conan Byrne 35 Pat McWalter 98 Greg Bolger 4 Tony McDonnell 293 Paul Crowley 18 Ronan Finn 24 Shane McFaul 12 Brian King 5 Derek Doyle 47 Bogdan Oprea 5 Paul Byrne 35 Conor Sammon 50 Timmy Purcell 13 Francis Moran 1 Darren Forsyth 2
Personally I think the game should count as it was an official club fixture. Regardless of the game being expunged I think it should count for club records. What's everybody's thoughts? The list above does not include that BTW.
UCD's Top 10 League appearances list has witnessed a few changes in recent weeks: Alan Mahon has risen to 3rd in the listings having Overtaken Robbie Griffin's 214 total. Elsewhere significant gaps have been closed.
Alan Mc Nally will equal Robert McAuley's 197 total in his next outing, and Tony McDonnell will, barring injury, hit the 300 League game total in six further games becoming only the second UCD player ever to reach it. However, Darren O'Brien's place in the top 10, with 194 League appearances, looks secure for another couple of years !
McNally is on 194 after last night. 130 up to 2004, 22 in 2005, 27 in 2006, 15 in 2007.
If you disagree take it up with Kevin as I'm using his figures from STIGonline.
Do you keep a breakdown of figures or do you just add 1 every time someone plays?

Right both of you don't even think of starting a debate/argument in this thread. I do not want to see the UCD section highlighted as having new posts when it's just additions to the stats thread.
If you must argue then do it over PM.

Tonight's game is Darren Quigley's 100th game for the club in all competitions.
Monday's game against Shamrock Rover was Conor Kenna's 100th league appearance.
CTID you'd probably know the answer to this question. Who has played the most consecutive league games for UCD? Has amybody bettered Quigley's 81?
Jim Mc Cabe played 100 League games in succession between our debut League game in 1979 and midway ( 10 games out of 26) through the 1982-83 season. Then he was dropped. He missed the next seven games and game back in for the final 9 games of the season. When Alan O'Neill joined UCD in 1983 Jim moved to Shamrock Rovers and was their reserve keeper for their League winning season 1983/84.
He returned to the club under Martin Moran's management as goalkeeper coach in the 1999/2000 season.
Ah. Obviously the DC game counts.
It's not so much about defunct clubs but that game was specifically expunged as Dublin City never completed that season. I'm not bothered either way but that's the angle that this is coming from.
Pat McWalter made his 100th league appearance against Bohemians tonight.
Also Conor Sammon reached double figures for goals scored.
Tony McDonnell made his 300th appearance against St Pats last night. 21 off Ciarán Kavanagh now.
