Ah i wouldn't put solksjear in that list. When he wasn't injured he was fairly regular and put in a good auld effort every time.Originally Posted by stojkovic

Winston Bogarde
Stan Collymore
Robbie Fowler
Steve McManaman
Harry Kewell

I agree and I had alot of time for the little fella.Originally Posted by sorbothegreek
My point is that when he was fit and always on the bench, he could have moved to another club and got regular football but maybe, just maybe stayed for the money like Bogarde. Just a thought.
Were spurs not close to signing him on the same wage as he was on at Man U at one stage? I think he gave a desire to win trophys as his reason for not taking them up.

Actually it was a pay rise with Spurs, and he turned it down because he was happy at United. Whilst he mightn't have been first choice he got plenty of games. If Robbie Keane doesn't demand a transfer in the summer, surely he'll make the list?Originally Posted by sorbothegreek

Robbie Fowler
I've one that's not going to be popular, but Paul McGrath? Definitely at certain points in his career....

Rio Ferdinand.......got paid in full while serving his 8 month drugs ban
and now has the neck to look for 120k a week.
Whilst I agree that he's a dick over the current negogiations, he was still training and could've left on a free if we'd not paid him. Suppose Chelsea's Mutu case will set the new precedent for this....Originally Posted by stickyjoe

Do you mean McGrath the p1sshead ?Originally Posted by Macy
If so fair enough, but not in my classification of a fella who draws a wage and doesnt want to play.
When McGrath was at Villa, on his last contract, he was on a pay per play (£4000) basis.
When we played Holland at Anfield in 95 it was not an 'official' UEFA date, believe it or not. So when Jack invoked the five day rule before games, Villa did not have to pay McGrath for being on international duty.
McGrath could have turned out for Villa on the Saturday and then Ireland on the Wednesday but chose not to, and forfeited his paycheck.
But I take your point about wasted talent. He did go 'missing' for the odd game. Fortunately he got his act together and returned to 'star' at USA94.
I read about him the other day. Apparently he couldnt even score in training.Originally Posted by KarlosIRL

Patrick Blondeau - Sheffield Wednesday (Signed by wonder manager David Pleat and supposed to be the greatest defender ever. First appearance: Blackburn 7 Owls 2 - the rest as they say is history).
Gerald Sibon - Sheffield Wednesday. Laziest player I've even seen but saw him turning out in the CL recentlyfor some Dutch team.
Orlando Trustful - Sheffield Wednesday - another one of Pleat's wonderful signinging. Disappeared up his own backside I think.
Sigh![]()
Another pretty obvious one, Raphael Sheidt of Celtic - not so sure of spelling.
Steve McManaman + 2 X Champions league medals. Wasted career?
And you ask me to help you??!! Man is evil!!!! Capable of nothing but destruction!
