Any idea how both teams lined up? Any new players in either side?

Have to disagree chiefscout, rockmount created absolutely nothing until they got a penalty,Midleton passed the ball well and pressed well,in first half, spotter was a sucker punch on 55min,looked very comfortable until then, plus Midleton were missing 3 players that will prob start most games, don't fancy rockmount to contend for league with gaffney,Byrne, wolf at the back!people with more firepower will hurt them, think Midleton will only improve.great to hav competitive football back and the difference of opinions :-)

ha ha you got me zico your right, but ill call it as i saw it,first off tight game high tempo tight pitch, passage gave it their all and did a smash and grab with the goal considering wanderers dominate possesion with no real penetration,a few wanderers lads carrying a bit of timber around the waistline, fitz at the back was outstanding all game but raised his hand and the ineviatable happened, wanderers formation was an absolute travesty they were all over the place and chubbs playing way to deep to cause any damage with meade up front isolated with no midfielder cute enough to play a penetrating pass, passage deserved a draw take nothing away from them they gave it their all but it looked liked the formation was based around trying to fit all the stars into the team, they ll still win the league ive no doubt but here comes the humble pie they would have been eatin alive by avondale tonight or any top prem team, alot of work yet to be done in cobh yet, including fitness but hats off to passage they played like their lives depended on it.

Cobh got out of jail, hit the bar a few times from half chances, passage very well organised and an absolute credit to the club, Fitzy was sent off for an off the ball incident, no complaints from Cobh, you can't raise your hands and expect to get away with it. Plenty more to come from the Wanderers though just weren't up to it on the night.

A far more accurate match report than munsterkids.

Passage were set up superbly well. Paul Coughlan was superb at the back and their keeper was rock solid.

Wanderers have a lot of work to do. Tactically more than anything else.

This is all a bit of fun reading here and it is very informative for those of us that watch from a far rather than post, but as bellavistman said let's not get personal. Some people here take it far too serious. At the end of the day it's a game of ball.

Pretty much spot on Munster. First half was tense, few chances. Second half opened up. Two good sides and Cobh do look like they will get better they more they play. Passage died for the cause and it was a lovely cross and header. Good crowd - guy next to me called the Pirlo pen! Return match last day maybe! Always good not to lose the first one! Entertaining couple of hours

Have to say i agree take passages heart and determination out of it and it could have been a different story although saying that great play down their left all game good ball retention ,great goal ball to strikers feet great lay off to the wing and smashing first time cross and a chicharito style header, most likely these 2 teams will contend for the top 2 but wanderers really need to balance their team alot better than tonight, manager has to take the hit for points lost tonight.
