heard robbie waters from ucc is on trial with dundalk at the min. if that went well for him would be a big loss to caulfield. looks far and away there best player to me anyway.
yes totally agree with ye that midleton prob will pick up enough points to stay up, just what there kind football on the eye deserves.....from what i can gather all 3 midfield players that started versus cork city last year are injured, which is tough for any team....so will done to them for keeping the show on the road.big game friday night...and as for rockmount, every successfull team has a time limit...both seniors and juniors look like there race is ran...avondale to dominate the next 5years.

Midleton 1-3 Mount

Ya,looks that way now.was at match tonight. It was 2-1 and mount down to 10. Midleton had fella sent off and it killed them. Mount changed system to 4-3-3, where did they see that?...Cambridge,coakley,o Connor and fella giddy with mount goals...could this be the start of their revival?
2 average teams in midleton tonight and 1 team which should be ashamed of themselves! rockmount deserved the 3 points in my opinion, but look a patch on the team which have been so dominant the past 10 years, has to be avondales to lose now! midleton look to be in trouble, and are now surely favourites for the drop with leeds unless they can find some kind of form! as for the 3rd team on show, well the linesman on the shed side where i watched the game is some how getting paid for a display of.., well i dont know what you could call it he was terrible for both side's and i feel sorry for any team that has him for the rest of the season. 2 red cards as well in a pretty clean game, when the score was 2-1 ruined it for the spectators, i just hope the 3 euro i paid at the gate went to the club and not for the cost of the officials!!
Rockmount had that hunger back tonight....Midleton heads went down once behind. Long way to go yet but they are the 1 team running out of games. Which Midleton lad got sent off? And I didn't see why???
ABad Rockmount team beat a very poor Midleton side in one of the worst games of football I have ever encountered.Midleton hit the crossbar early on and on 25mins Pat Buckley Rockmounts favourite official sprung into action bulging eyes intoe and waved his flag.Rockmount free kick to the bewilderment of all present.Rockmount scored from the free kick the Midleton Management team were up in arms and their manager was sent off.Onenill at half time Rockmount went 2 up within 5 min of the restart.Midleton pulled one back 10 min later Butts gave Midleton right back a dig sent off.It was all Midleton then but 5 min later Midleton center forward clashed with center half and was sent off.Ref bottled it and sent forward off to even things up.From then on there was only going to be one winner.A very poor advertisment all round for the MSL,from the officials and the teams involved. How's that el nino coro.
So Mr Buckley robbed Corinthians v. Rockmount earlier in the season (which affected midleton as monty who should have been sent off and suspended scored winner v. them in next game)and now Midleton have got done by him? That's a crucial factor in the league position of Rockmount no matter what anyone says.
Pat Buckley surely cant be blamed for the position midlton are in,last night it was o connell on the line and he got the blame, its far to easy to blame officials when other teams have to put up with them aswell on various other occasions,as for rockmount they are getting decisions all down through the years everyone knows that, the league is done and dusted anyhow because no way will that rockmount side claw back that amount of points ands neither will douglas hall! cheers for the report goggs i was only ball hopping!
Was also at d game.....first of all I was in the stand behind that linesman pat that's what they were calling him anyway,i was actually shocked by his decisions....in the first half midleton manager sent off...don't blame him for being upset over decisions, but I must say the way 1 of rockmount coaches behaved when they had man sent off was nothing short of disgrace, what he didn't say to referree after it,and would you think he was sent off,to be honest midleton manager was a little over board too,but he got the line.but once again that referree has no balls, typical looking after the once big shots of rockmount!!if seen this quite alot when rockmount involved in games!very suspect in my opinion!rockmount in decline, midleton hav still a chance though!!
your'e wrong their coro,o'connel was on the far side of pitch, it was the fella on the shed side who started all the hula-bulu, just think when you are fighting for your'e lives to stay up in the division, a team should at least expect a fair/honest ride off the officials, felt sorry for finbar in the middle because he was badly let down last night by his linesman, agree with mighty about the rockmount assitant manager getting away with roaring at the ref, why was he treated differently to midleton manager?? don't think anyone is saying rockmount won because of the officials, but their were some serious difference in the application of the decisions towards both sides! and don't think this is the first/last time that this official will be called into question this season!! before anyone starts saying ref's have a tough job i agree, and there would be no games without them, but on the other side they are getting 40/50 euro to ref a game and for that price they are expected to be equal, fair, approachable and consistant in respect to whatever 2 teams that they have for those 90mins! players have to pay for the privalage to play for their local club with membership of around 250 euro a season and they do so, and train hard all week with their team and alot of guys do extra themselves to get the best out of their limited talents, and to go out on the pitch for those 90 mins you want to be able to come off that pitch and talk about how you played, how your'e team mate played, how good the opposing teams no.9 was, not that some of the officials on show want to be center stage when their job is not to be seen, that is when you know an official has had a good game...when know one talks about them!!
Ballincollig 0-3 Fermoy.
Wind made a balls of the first half today, got better in the second half so the ball actually stayed on the floor. First came after 75 mins. Two more followed almost immediately. A slog, but a win
Any news on ring v Ucc?
The above is all opinion and based on personal experience. Unless stated otherwise it is not a dig at anybody, well probably none of you lot.
Corinthians 0-1 Avondale AET

College 0 Avondale 1 after extra time. Poor game to watch, plenty of endeavour but the goal right at the end of extra time was probably first shot on target. The entertainment came in the 2nd half of normal time. Avondales center back committed GBH on the college lad in the box. Obvious penalty,Avondale knew it,college knew it. Nothing given! It was hilarious! The ref today? Pat Buckley.
Mr. Tez, you have been on about the refs doing a bad job for a while. Your obviously involved with corthnians. Get over it, the refs make mistakes. It happens with every team. Your on here week in week out moaning. Do you ever think corthnians aren't good enough for premier league. They are 2nd last and players and manager being sent off as the discipline is bad might be yer problem and not the refs
Tez get off your corinthians high horse every week you are blaming the referees for this and that .Firstly that was no where near a penalty and if you wanna start cribbing over decisions avondale had goals dis allowed .so how about ye stop whinging up the top of the hill and just let yer football do the talking
The Hawk is cranky! Everyone above my comment slated Buckley but you had a pop at me,get off your own high horse!!! Well done to Ucc today. Always tough v. Ringmahon and they survived an almighty late scare. Big game next week-Castleview v. Bandon
