Too be honest razor i enjoy watchin a Msl match a lot more than the League of Ireland! I know people will say the standard is a lot better at LOI but i feel the real reason we all like MSL is because we know players, management and ref's at a much more personal level than LOI. Plus the localised scandal gets around a lot quicker with men like chiefscout on the prowl...

haha great shout reznik, chiefscout should start writing a paragraph once a week for the evening echo with all the news and gossip surrounding the MSL, put his sources to good news!! Another other transfer news chiefscout, or we in for another quiet week?

supporting this great county of ours would be my reason for it reznik, certainly not the style of football.
stopped going to turners cross a while back because the football was dreadful
i hear its after improving again though razor?
i enjoy watching local soccer throughout cork,it just feels more real for some reason

I'd say there could be legal issues surrounding this.

Have you seen the referees in the League of Ireland First Division?

City won the First Division scoring 73 goals in 30 games and have played some wonderful football
OK some of the opposition wasn't the best but you can only beat what's put in front of you.
I don't think anythng bar the top level of MSL would even come near it for entertainment.
A great family Friday night out.

The main reason i'm as involved with City as I am is because it's my club, run by the fans for the fans.
Having said that, I'm not involved with any MSL club (despite what some think) and fair dues to those that are.

Personally I'll watch any game of ball. To be honest I wouldn't draw the curtains on the young fellas in the green across the road.

I be all up for the article idea but as razor said could be few issues especially with few who think they are high and mighty on this forum!!..transfer wise, expect a few to leave Avondale and also Midleton to lose their star player unless there is a manager change...oh and alot of sneaky phone calls from few,not all, managers to players in next few weeks

Chief whos going to be leaving the dale in the transfer window. Also i would like to say that I think John Ryan of midleton is a great manager. The players below in midleton should be ashamed of themselves if they want this man out of their club. He brought them back to the premier, kept them in the premier the following year and got them pretty far in the intermediate cup only to be beaten by crumlin who are a good side. John ryan was a hero below there up until this year. In my opinion the players are not working hard enough for the team with a few of them refusing to play. I think john is getting a raw deal. Ive no connection to midleton but know alot of players down there and i have said the exact same to these players. if he gets sacked i think its a disgrace.

Bad state of affairs when your junior team should be your senior team because players won't play for the manager.watch this space though...but do agree Ryan has been great for the club..........on the Avondale side of things, few of the squad players are to leave as to lack of playing time, shouldn't affect them but will boost few other teams

The problem with Midleton is they have a squad of 17 this season with two keepers included in that and they have 4 players out injured long term but there juniors is packed with ex seniors from last season who couldnt make the starting 11 and decided to step down this season but wont step up to senior when needed so the management has to top up the senior team with the youth team so here lies the problem. The junior team is acting like a separate identity to the rest of the club.

The reason why these players are Junior and the reason why other players play Senior Football instead of AUL is because of a few things 1. Attitude (thinking of themselves instead of the club, dont to battle for their position) 2. Dedication (won't commit themselves or sacrifice weekends etc.)

I would prefer to get relegated with Youths than to entertain spoilt Junior players with chips on their shoulders.

Well done John Ryan on your job to date, continue to grow the club as best you can.

Plenty of goals around tonight. Anyone come up against Bandon yet this season got any tips? We got them at home this week.
The above is all opinion and based on personal experience. Unless stated otherwise it is not a dig at anybody, well probably none of you lot.

great result for blarney they really put it up to rockmount. But main talking point was 2 terrible mistakes from brendan.gifted 2 goals to blarney.Rockmount didnt look convincing but still grinding out results where some teams would have come away with nothing .Just shows the determination they have to keep there crown ,Big improvement from blarney just need to be more consistent

Just regards the handball on the line hawk for blarneys second goal,
the ref pointed to the spot and flashed the red card at rockmount player and then proceeded to linesman who said the ball was behind the line and the goal was given,
it was my understanding that once you flash the red you cant just ignore the fact that you did??
    maybe one for maninthemiddle?
