Carrigaline beat Blarney 4-1 tonight in Ballea Park...Blarney a full strength team by all accounts!! Blarney looking shakey before start of season, Carrigaline apparently played excellent football! Some nice draws from keane cup. Avondale/Rockmount should be a cracker!!!
Practice does not make perfect. Only perfect practice makes perfect.

Some good games in the Keane cup coming up.
Blarney were no where near full strength. They had 3 Juniors,1 youth and they were missing at least 8 from their starting team from last year.
Carrigaline fairly impressive. Could well come up again this year.

Wasn't there yesterday due to work commitments, but yeah we lost 5-1. Couldn't tell ya who played well or scored for them, but we had no keeper so had to put a make shift lad in so that didn't help.

2-1 at half time after we took the lead. Happy enough with a lot of aspects of how we performed as we had a back four with two 17 yr olds and two 20 yr olds. Future is where we're at now.
The above is all opinion and based on personal experience. Unless stated otherwise it is not a dig at anybody, well probably none of you lot.

Yes!!...granted,it works for them but it's a terrible advert for the local game and after hearing from people who were at the playoff v the hall last year that said it was brutal to watch..everybody can't be wrong

It's called winning football lads. I'll wager that Billy ain't sitting at home crying into his soup cos some jonny on the ditch on a football forum ain't best pleased with having to watch it now and again. Naw I'm sure as one of the most decorated managers of all time really couldn't give a monkeys tbf.

And I hope that Alan goes on to have as proud a record, I wish him all the best (til we get there that is!!).

Ballincollig away tonight for us. Still working with 12 but Mick Devine along tonight so see how we go with a keeper this time.

mount played 3 4 3 and played excellent football.some of the goals scored were exceptional and there wasn't any goal scored as the result of a long hopeful ball.all mounts good play came down the right wing and some of the deliveries were top class.could of scored 10 or even more.that said fermoy under strength but mount only had 13 and 4 or 5 of those wont come close to starting the keane cup.

MSL Preview on todays Echo focusing on Douglas, Rockmount and Avondale with plenty of transfer news both in and out of the clubs.

Avondale have signed Danny Long, Tony Tynan, Keith O'Sullivan, Brain Murphy, Eoin Forde, Willie Heffernan and Alan Carey.
I dont know the two Casement lads (Tynan and O'Sullivan) but judging by the other 5 they have signed they are going to be very strong this year.

Douglas didnt comment much on signings but they have lost a few with Bruton being the biggest loss.

Rockmount have lost a few aswell with O'Riordan, King and Welsh and it seems that Ross O'Callagahan and Philip Cunningham are going to miss some of the season. They have signed Thomas Hughes, Paul Condon and Ian McConville.

Any more news on who other teams have signed, we are at the stage now that players have actually signed forms

the hall lost mark o callaghan and gary drennan squad players if you ask me .murphy started on fire and wa rewarded with a irish call up but then goals just dried . Thomas hughes was with rockmount last year anyway .Think he had commitments with the army and missed last part of the season

Seems all s not well up in mayfield ,seems howard coakley was asked to play right midfield ,threw a strop wouldn't even chase his man back and who ever they were playing scored from it and howard was whipped after 12 minutes

seen heffernan play .poor to be honest too light, looks very unfit
