You referred to the Avondale/Rockmount game when you said it was the best counter attacking football you seen from an amateur side,and im trying to make you aware that Rockmount failed to exploit the gaps by continuously launching balls instead of getting the ball down and moving it,it has worked for them in the past but in a case like this they might as well have been playing against 11 men,to put it simple they played it into Avondales hands!

Lads people seem to forget you can only sign 23 players, how in the name of God can Avondale sign all these guys if players aren't moving in the other direction which by all accounts they don't seem to be ?
Why isn't Dave hill busy in the off season trying to sign players are they going with last years u19s. Your right huge work was put in last year to get back to league of Ireland level. There must be some strategy behind it. Is it a case we will go with the youth and produce our own players. If so it's a great concept but will take a long time to achieve this.

Rockmount and Marys game has been called off tonight... I cant see any games going ahead this weekend and if we get the weather thats expected, there wont be a ball kicked in February either!!!!!
Couldnt agree more with coro here. If you have an extra player or 2 should really be able to find gaps in the opposition while moving and passing quick, maybe Rockmount dont have the footballers to do it but by hoofing long balls down onto Dales centre backs your really just asking for trouble... It might not be the managers fault because of the lack of footballers in rockmounts team but surely they could try... Just remember Ross isnt playing so who can they look for now to win their long balls
Believe it or not Avondale were struggling for numbers pre season. At the start of the season they only had 3 or 4 subs at each game that I saw. With a squad close to 23 now they will have a serious starting 11 as always and another 12 on bench probably as good if not far off the quality of the starting 11.

There's a bit on the echo there about it the quote is they had only 12 players signed at the start of the season now they have 22 I guess there's room for one more.
