Strong rumour he is looking to take one of our ex managers as one of his coaches, would love to see a few young MSL players make the step up. Best of luck to John and his coaching staff

Think that josh o Shea will be top of his list, fantastic talent and great potential, would be a perfect replacement for Danny morrissy

Also said in his press conference that there are only 2/3 players in the MSL that would be capable of making the step up!

If this is the case who do guys think the 3 would be. Keep in mind age is a big thing here. I doubt he'll pick anyone close to 30 eg Marky and Hoey.

Maybe Conor Meade? Id say Caulfield knows him well enough from his avondale days as well as managing against Avondale. Great move as well by getting John Cotter in as part of the backroom staff. I've a sneaky feeling in a year or 2 Cork City will be back challenging for the league

Any ideas who you think will replace Caulfield at UCC? good squad there, I know a lot of players think this is their year to win the league.

With all due respect to the msl if cork city want to be competing for honours then the msl isn't the place to be looking. It would however be a cheap option for the club because the players will be getting hardly no money and be expected to travel all over the country. Any fella struggling to hold onto a job wouldn't be interested. Huge commitment.

My view is the msl won't provide jc with many options but I do expect josh o Shea from UCC to get a look in !!!

How many times they train depends on whether they sign professional or amateur contracts. As far as I know though all City players will sign professional contracts this season.

Josh O'Shea will be given a chance to see if he can make the step up......and to see if he wants to make the step up.

City's partnership with UCC could be of benefit to him if he can swing a scholarship or something out of it.

As far as i know he already has a scholarship, maybe that could be a stumbling block. Surely finishing college at this stage is a priority

Didn't know that. Don't know the guy personally so can only speculate as to what decision he might make about the whole thing.

I know Caulfield rates him though so now made be his best chance of breaking into League of Ireland football.

Ginger Healy is staying there so would expect him to take charge for the rest of the season.

Liam Kearney would be one I'd say, he nearly signed for City after Tommy Dunne left but couldn't because of some FIFA/UEFA rules.
