Strong rumour he is looking to take one of our ex managers as one of his coaches, would love to see a few young MSL players make the step up. Best of luck to John and his coaching staff
ian "chubbs" stapleton due back from oz in december surely hes got to be a major target for the new city boss?
Strong rumour he is looking to take one of our ex managers as one of his coaches, would love to see a few young MSL players make the step up. Best of luck to John and his coaching staff
Think that josh o Shea will be top of his list, fantastic talent and great potential, would be a perfect replacement for Danny morrissy
Also said in his press conference that there are only 2/3 players in the MSL that would be capable of making the step up!
Maybe Conor Meade? Id say Caulfield knows him well enough from his avondale days as well as managing against Avondale. Great move as well by getting John Cotter in as part of the backroom staff. I've a sneaky feeling in a year or 2 Cork City will be back challenging for the league
Any ideas who you think will replace Caulfield at UCC? good squad there, I know a lot of players think this is their year to win the league.
With all due respect to the msl if cork city want to be competing for honours then the msl isn't the place to be looking. It would however be a cheap option for the club because the players will be getting hardly no money and be expected to travel all over the country. Any fella struggling to hold onto a job wouldn't be interested. Huge commitment.
Conor's contract was up with Waterford at the end of the season so expect to see him in a city shirt next season
My view is the msl won't provide jc with many options but I do expect josh o Shea from UCC to get a look in !!!
How many times do city train a week, with this lad in college and city unable to offer proper money to other players i cant see anybody being interested, conor meade would be a great signing it nearly happened already but tommy dunne ****ed him around by only offering him a trial
How many times they train depends on whether they sign professional or amateur contracts. As far as I know though all City players will sign professional contracts this season.
Josh O'Shea will be given a chance to see if he can make the step up......and to see if he wants to make the step up.
City's partnership with UCC could be of benefit to him if he can swing a scholarship or something out of it.
Caulfield is gonna stay with ucc for the collingwood. Wonder who'll take over cos they've a very good side there in fairness
Ginger Healy is staying there so would expect him to take charge for the rest of the season.
Ballingcollig/Kinsale called off due to the pitch. Any news an whether the Leeside Casement game is still on?!
