Yes Barry is gone awhile. The club wish him well for future. Total gentleman who no one in the club had a bad word to say about him.

I was watching the Blarney v CIT game on wednesday night when a very interesting situation occured in a pivotal time of the game. Shortly before half time CIT were having a decent spell even though they were 2-0 down. The Blarney keeper with the ball in his hands was attempting to bounce the ball before kicking it long up the field. While bouncing the ball the CIT frontman kicked the ball away from the keeper and tapped the ball into an empty net. The striker then retrieved the ball from the net to get the game restarted quickly believing he had got his team right back in it only for the referee to blow for a free out n disallow the goal. My question is, Are players allowed intercept the ball while the keeper is bouncing it or did the ref do the right thing by disallowing the goal... Massive decision at the time even though Blarney truly deserved the win....

Have to agree Barry is a real gent and one of the nice guys in football, would be nice to see him back in football soon.

Ref got that one right, while the keeper is bouncing the ball, he/she is deemed to still be "in control" of the football so the correct decision is to award an indirect free kick to the keeper where the offence happened.

Any score from Midleton v Mount?
The above is all opinion and based on personal experience. Unless stated otherwise it is not a dig at anybody, well probably none of you lot.

Mount started very sharply and looked hungry after last weeks defeat, but after Midleton were down to 10 the home side got on top. They had 2 great chances when Knowlsey and Jamie Murphy both didn't convert. Mount are an ageing team and are struggling for form at the moment. Midleton are surely safe now.

should have been 3 imo even with playing with ten for 80 mins..there well used to playing with ten these days. rockmount never worked the ball to use the spare man and apart from the 2 goals i dont think they had another shot. midleton had 2 great chances before they equalised the first time.

Spot on Superkeeper. Said it a few pages back and got ate for putting out the same opinion by some poster. We've played them three times and it was a different 11 every time and it matted not a jot. A joy to watch if we didn't have to face em again away.

Roll on Douglas Hall tomorrow morning. Everything is in place for a cracker and we'll take great pleasure in welcoming down one of the City's great clubs for tradition and history. Game on, hope we can play to our best. That's all we can ask for.

Must say every time i seen them they had a different team out. Any player on that team would be a top player in another club.
