Hi Lads, just to confirm is the transfer window is closed at the end of this month(30th)? Just want players and managers to have all the information, don't want anybody trying to "trick" players into signing with false dates!!!

    Avondale 2-2 St Mary's
2-1 at HT, Dale lost Muccy to an injury and Deccie to a straight red midway through the 2nd half.
Mary's got a penalty with almost the last kick of the game.
Excellent game, very competitive, great way to kick off the league season.

Was down at the Midleton game tonight, missed the first 20min but from what i seen in the remainder of the 1st, it looked like only one team would score and that was Mayfield. 2nd half was a different game, from the 1st min in it Midleton looked a different team and really deserved their win. I say the bus back to Cobh after the match tonight was rocking !!!!!

A lively enough game watched by 300 plus great atmosphere Mayfield on top in first half but were frustrated by a dogged and determined Midleton team who somehow found themselves level at half time then the whole game changed in the second half Midleton kept pressing and harressing and took control of midfield forcing Mayfields defence into a catalogue of defensive errors when the goal came instead of responding Mayfield retreated into there shell giving Midleton the onus to push on which they did. Mayfield were leaderless and gutless on the night Midleton were buoyant and fearless first game of the campaign always throws up surprises and this was a big one good to have the Friday nights back again roll on next week.

The above is all opinion and based on personal experience. Unless stated otherwise it is not a dig at anybody, well probably none of you lot.

Harsh lesson for Fermoy at this level, they should have been 2 up only for mount keeper making 2 great saves 1 on 1. 2 defensive errors cost them 2 goals before ht, 1st dubious offside. 3rd defensive error 10 mins into second half cost them the game, battled on well to get 1 back, didn't deserve 3-1 loss but could be a good learning curve as to what is need at this level!

    Fermoy 1-3 Mount

Hard to believe we lost that one 3-1 - welcome to the big league. Loads of positives to take into our next game ( in bloody October probably)

Great to see all the old faces and I wish Mount the best for the season. No visit from Glenbuck though. Boooooo

is this the 1st major upset of the season??
Haven't seen either of these 2 teams yet, so i dont really know if this result was expected. i know that the hall are going through a transitional period at the mo, but this is a fair beaten they took from
their arch rivals. Any match report on this one lads?

Spot on Brad, fair summary. Felt we were nervous unnecessairly with the mistakes, we were matching them physically and football wise. Killed by the two goals before half time and the one straight after it killed off any comeback realistically. We'll learn from it and move on.

Was at the game , Hall started brightly & looked the stronger side with corinthians taking time to get into the pace of the game , 10 mins in Left full for Hall took on corinthians full back & drove a ball across the keeper & into the bottom corner for 1 nil, Hall good value for the lead . Corinthians keeper made a very good save low to his left to keep out a certain goal . Corinthians equalized when a cross into the box seemed to get caught in the wind & went straight over Halls keeper, Corinthians were on top for practically the rest of the game & took the lead before half time from a free kick finished with a header by o shea .
Second half I thought Hall would come at corinthians but after an even 15 minutes or so some slack defending by Hall left college in again to make it 3 & end it as a contest , hall looked a bit tired & conceded again late in the game . College well worth the win though . don't think they will struggle like last year on this performance but Hall looked leaderless with mooresy a huge loss to them on the playing side .
