it would appear that two of the pilons have been removed from Bishopstown, so anyone making the MSC semi-final against Cobh Wanderers on Sunday morning (11.00 am) at the Cross might be in for a surprise![]()
Your a star Joe.
the progress wouldnt inspire confidence though woud it................

What other board in the world gives you pics on demand eh??
Well Done!
Three pilons are not standing erect at the Cross as can be seen from the latest pics.
Good man Joe! Keeping us all up to dat!
are they gonna be 4 large pylons so? The exact B/Town ones?
Yep. A pylon in each corner, although the pylon by the old dressingrooms is nearer the Donie Forde Stand. Should look good for the U-21 game though.Originally posted by Pablo

Joe my man, meter off the grass, you will get a better, more balanced exposure.
Nice one for the snaps anyway, its good to see the X again![]()
As I say, we're just young & a bit nieve.
Would I be right in thinking that Joe is using a digital point and shoot. Metering isn't really a feature with the standard models.Originally posted by Troy.McClure

The pictures show the progress at the cross and that's the main thing.
Have Boot Disk, will travel

Is it just me or do those poles look much shorter than I remember them in Bishopstown?
btw wheres the trademark through gap in fence shot Joe???
![]()
they could well be a few feet shorter - it looked like there was the 'tops of the pilons' lying around. as to whether they'll be put up or not when the lights themselves go up ???Originally posted by pete

i had one obscure shot ready to go in alright, but i thought it would be taking things a bit far - especially with so many real (

Murphy Out NOW!
Cork City will soon see evening kick-offs at Turners Cross as the venue is finally having it's floodlights installed and they will be used for the first time on March 26th.
However, it will not be the Leesiders who will have the honour of being the first side to see them operational as the FAI have nominated the ground for Don Givens' Republic of Ireland under 21's game against Denmark on Tuesday week with a 7:30 pm start.
Givens will hold a press conference in the Rochestown Park Hotel tomorrow, March 14th at 12 noon at which he will name his squad for the tie against the Danes.
This will be the first game for the Under 21's since the 3-0 win over Cyprus at Flancare Park, Longford last October.
Cork City and Colin P O'Brien will be hoping that the youngster will included in the sqiuad and more importantly represent his city and country in the game itself.

So to get this one straight...
the floodlights are up and working???
Ok so the Denmark match is tuesday week....whens the U19 play off against Holland?
Well considering CP couldn't make the u-19 squad I'd say fairly unlikely he would make the u-21 squad. IMO hes not good enough for the u-21s anyway & he'll probably just be invited to "train" with the u-21s.Originally posted by jbrazil

not yet - three of the poles are up, but they don't have the actual lights up yet. it even made the 6.01 news tonight!Originally posted by niamh
