Loved Parrott's performance last night. I feel he will make his Spurs' debut some time this coming season. He was lucky not to be sent off though as his boot certainly made contact with the Juve player's cheek. Gary Breen was great too, he even apologized for his concentration on Parrott in commentary! Loved Spurs pressing game, now dreaming of Parrott, Afolabi, Obafami and Connolly playing together in a 4 man pressing forward line! May not happen, but this is a dream that was not possible two years ago. The future certainly looks bright.
Even in the shorter term the idea of him and Callum Robinson playing off McGoldrick gives me hope.
I was really struck by how ready for senior football he looked yesterday. To be honest if he was Welsh they'd just throw him in to the senior squad, maybe we should do similar. Spurs have Kane, Son and Moura so can ease him into their team but we don't have the same luxury.
Yeah, it's mad. He is getting a reputation as a 9 but, as you say, behind the striker or as a wide striker is no issue either. He played well alongside Son yesterday and Son occupied the 9 spot as much as he does the wide forward spot.
I think his football brain was summed up by that overload he created for that goal. What clarity of thought against a great defence.
As regards a senior call-up, we have been pulling lads from League Two and One for preliminary and final squads for strikers. I think a Spurs league appearance will get him in the frame. Kenny spoke about moving young lads up the age groups to senior level of necessary. He would gladly have Troy in his 21s squad but you have to imagine that between Mick seeing Parrott and a push from Kenny then he will be moved up.
Southampton playing Guangzhou R&F at the moment. Shane Long, Will Smallbone, and Thomas O'Connor all started. Long scored, and won a penalty in the first half
Long was substituted at half time, and Aaron O'Driscoll was among the players introduced
No idea, I didn't see any of it, just noticed it on Twitter
It finished 4-0, report from Southampton's website here: https://www.southamptonfc.com/news/2...friendly-macau
They usually put footage from the preseason games in their YouTube page
I hadn't considered this previously but O'Connor and O'Driscoll turned 20 in April. Time for a few green shoots to start blossoming?

Parrott really is something special. He was brilliant against United. Hes by far the best player we have produced since Robbie and Duff.
United have been raving about Mason Greenwood and how he is expected to make a big impact for them this year. From what Ive seen of both Parrot looks the better of the 2 players.
