The Sligo Rovers Youths will be competing for a place in the FAI Youth cup final on Monday 1st May at 2pm in The Showgrounds. They will be playing Wembley Rovers. It would be a magnificent acheivement for the next generation of Rovers players if they reached the final of this prestigous competition.
The lads will need all the backing they can get. So if your not busy on Monday then get down to The Showgrounds and show the lads they are appreciated. It's an exciting young team and features players of class such as Gary Curran, Sean Kelly, Emlyn Mulligan along with future stars such as youth international Colin Gaule, John Bellew (19 goals this season), John Maughan, Kevin Lowe, Mikey Creane, McMorrow, Scanlon and Terry O'Malley to name just a selection of the talent in the overall squad.
So let's go out and support the lads in what could prove to be a historic occassion for youth football at Sligo Rovers.
I'm sure Birmingham did there homework. One of the best youth systems in ireland if not the best.
