Feck sake! Sad and pathetic people. And the Longford board thought they had problems with A few online grumbles with Section O !?
Only 2 points off sligo in the race to qualify for this. Woohoo!!!!!
Waterford beat Hearts Colts 3-1
Bohs beaten 3-2 by Airdrieonians
Good win for a mainly young Waterford team last night. Only 5 first team players started as Alan Reynolds of course is giving priority to Monday night's game v Dundalk. 2 late goals from younger players Alex Phelan with a great finish and then Reggie Madika with help of a deflection decided the game. About 700 there and we look forward to the draw on Tuesday. A lot of fans are hoping for an away trip.
Cue the the European trip comments! Surprised at the Bohs result. It was Waterford that was expected to go out. What were the Hearts Colts like, any real quality if a reserve Warterford side beat them? Very tough run of games for Dundalk, I think Perth said last night it is 17 in 48 days so Waterford in with a shout for having somthing of a rest. O'Connor and to a lesser extent Poynton might be out to prove a point. Injuries in midfield still meaning plenty chopping and changing and disrupting things. It's remarkable the run that we've been on connsidering the schedule and injuries. McGrath a doubt after last night on top of the 4 others so Hoare likely to feature in midfield. Not the worst time for Waterford to get us in a cup 1/4 final. A good crowd in the RSC and it wont be easy! Excuses in early
Hearts Colts took until 2nd half to start playing and their winger number 11 was their best player. They looked better team for a while in 2nd half but 2 goals from our under 19 players finished them off. There are a few Welsh teams, Solihull Moors and Glenavon also left in the draw as well as the Scottish teams. A trip anywhere would be good after missing out on Europe.
I'm heading off on holiday this evening so going to miss the F AI Cup game. Typical FAI scheduling of games this season!
Stenhousemuir v Waterford in the next round.
It's on the Friday night now as game live on BBC Alba. Good crowd of Waterford fans heading over to it although some were caught out booking flights as expected it to be on the Saturday or Sunday. League game v Sligo Rovers will have to be moved.
This Friday evening :
Stenhousemuir v Waterford
Tunnock's Caramel Wafer Cup 4th Round
19:35
BBC ALBA
Waterford 1 up. Conditions look awful.
1-1 now, good free kick from carless foul on the edge of the box.
Finishes 1-1 so Waterford keep their European adventure alive!

Not sure where you got the 1-1 result from? Stenhousemuir won 3-2 in the last minute.
Looks like a strong bench for Waterford, but still, Stenny have won 3, drawn 3, lost 3 in the fourth tier of Scotland. There were suggestions this competition was beneath the LoI, but we've barely made an impact in the couple of years of involvement.
Nesta must have turned it off at half time. Entertaining game in wet and windy conditions at times. Waterford only started a few first teamers and brought on the cavalry in last 15 minutes in a triple substitution with O'Connor heading an equaliser soon after he came on. Looked like it was going to penalties as no extra time was to be played but Stenhousemuir scored with 30 seconds to go. Good coverage on BBC Alba with a great piece on Waterford at half time. Between 80 to 100 fans made the short trip to Scotland.
Was watching on Skor and the result was still '1-1' when 'event ended' screen was up. Didnt refresh the screen mind. Ah well, Waterford's European adventures have come to an end. The pitch looked very like the Oriel surface on TV. Must look to see when it was installed - Brandywell surface on TV at least looks surperior. Apologies though lads - took the eye off the ball so to speak!
Looks can be deceiving!!
