    Pictures of Cork Youth Culture

I am looking for anyone out there with Pictures of Cork Youth(and not so youth) Culture down through the years.

I am thinking of pictures of the Skinheads/Bootboys, Hippies, Cureheads, Goths, Ska & 2 Tone, Punks, Ravers the places they congugrated in gigs, the street, football matches whatever just good pictures that captured the moments of Corks youth scene down throughout the decades.

I have some pics from years ago and am looking for others to put on show in a venue to be decided in August/September.

Would love to publish the results by the end of the year as well.

    Any info comments to coconnell23@hotmail.com
At this stage please do not e-mail on any pictures.
We'll organise a meeting of everyone who is interested within the next month.
Could this be possibly made a sticky admin for the next month!!!!!

    stuck, and moved to off-topic.
If you haven't already checked them out- see www.corkcityfc.ie and look at the gallery there, and there might be some photos on www.peoplesrepublicofcork.com as well.

reb23, registering multiple handles is against the rules on Foot.ie and I'm pretty sure you have another one. If I don't receive a reply I'm afraid I'm going to have assume that you used this handle just to post this announcement, and I'm going to have to delete it. Rules is rules.

Sorry about that. Didn't realise I had multiple handles. It's been ages since I posted on here. What can I do to access my old account info such as username and password??

Actually I was referring to the exact same post that appeared on the Cork forum on Boards.ie last night or this morning. The user that posted there is also registered here. There's also the advertising concern. Will this be a WMC event? Will it be for-profit? Sorry for the negativity, but rules is rules and I've got to make sure they're being applied.

No I didn't post it on the cork section of boards.ie but I did give the wording to a friend involved in WMC? and asked him to spread the word so that is probably what happened. He is also a city fan (involved in NMPP in the good old days). I have postedit on the WMC? forum myself and here but that is it so far.
I expect this project will make a loss. It is about documenting the diverse range of youth cultures that have been popular and not so popular in Cork over the last number of decades.
It is also an oppurtunity for a lot of people to contribute to an inclusive cultural event during 2005.(Capital of Culture and all that!!) Above all though I love Photography.
The main reason I posted on a city football forum is because of the very range of fans city have had over the years including myself with my big curehead in the shed years ago and I was looking for pics of the bootboys and skins that used to follow Hibs, the (sort of) casuals of today etc etc and was hoping fans would have taken crowd pictures during the years to illustrate this.
I hope this explains the project the reasons behind it, the voluntary nature of it and the way it is an inclusive event that anyone can contribute to.

Bit up the walls at the moment but when is the deadline for pics ??
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
