If I want to criticise him i'll criticise him, I'm not one of the brigade that thinks his sh1t is ice cream. Himself and Garcia were ineffective. The greatest players play rubbish at times, and Gerrard had a stinker last night. I've watched him closely in every game this season, and he has been distinctly average for the most part. The only game where he looked like a £30m player to me was Villa away. Now it's either his head is elsewhere because he intends to leave in the summer, maybe his head is done in because he doesn't know what he wants to do. Or else he is having personal problems. Something isn't right because he is playing way below his level all season, his body language is terrible as well. I'd say he hasn't smiled since 2003.

Don't think for one second either that I won't be behing the team and Gerrard 110% on Tuesday night. Just because I criticise a player in my analysis of a game doesn't change my ability to get behind the team

You call it as you see it!!??? you said he was the worst player on the pitch in my opinion you were wrong or else didnt watch the same game i did. He was ineffective?? he set up every chance we had. as i said he wasnt amazing either but not the worst on the pitch.....anyway enough crap.... 2 - 0 on tuesday night please!!!!

Thumbs up Gerrards Body Language Today

Did anybody else notice the huge difference in Gerrards body language when he scored today? His demeanor was almost unrecognisable to the moody disinterested Gerrard that we have become used to this season. He was actually genuinely happy and smiling, scored a cracking goal and gave an upbeat interview after the game despite the result. Just wayched it all on Football First. Looks like the story that Chelsea have dropped their interest is true. Looks like he could be staying after all. Hopefully Chelsea will pay dearly for it on Tuesday

Can't stand Gerrard, but if he wants the money the media says he is worth, he'll play out of his skin tonight.
Did you ever notice that in every painting of Adam & Eve, they have belly buttons. Think about that...take as long as you want.

Assume if ball had not gone in there was no penalty as Cech was not booked/sent off for a foul!

What a shocking game of football for so called best league in europe. Sure it was competitive & tense put have absolutely no quality to speak of.

If that was an eL game people would have been complaining about the hoofball. Vitually no passing in midfield except on the break.

IMO Abramovich is a crook who stole billions from Russia. Hes only spending cash in the UK to get passport to protect his billions.

If that had been an eL game, nobody would've noticed the football. They would have been in awe at why 40,000 or so were in attendence.

Here they come! It’s the charge of the “Thanks” Brigade!

40k in the UK is the equivalent of 2.5k in Ireland.

    55m population versus 3.5m

Was at the game at Anfield last night. Best atmosphere I have ever witnessed and will probably ever witness. There are no fans on earth who come close to Liverpool's. The City afterwards was unreal as well. One of the best nights of my life. COME ON THE POOL!
