Question No More Plastic Plastic Pitch

    Whats happening with the pitch?

Sounds like the height of stupidity to dig up your pitch when don't have the funds to finish it?

It is being done.. just taking a bit longer than first expected. Heard rumours we are having to sell our training pitch - Hiney Park - to property developers to get some funds...

Still doesn't answer the question why any club would dig up their pitch without the funds to replace it.

AFAIK the funds for the pitch was a government grant so it didn't come out of the clubs coffers.

Dundalk dont have any money these days, even to plan for the pitch to be taken up.

Sharks are as tough as those football fans who take their shirts off during games in England in January, only more intelligent.

I heard that Hiney has not been sold yet? So we are going to spend more time away from Oriel!

I'm still to be convinced that this is a good idea. Sure it'll save a lot of € on pitch maintenance, but some of whatever will be saved is probably already being ****ed away on rent to Drogheda. Then when the inevitable happens that UEFA dont fancy this plastic pitch idea any more. Its going to cost huge money to re-lay a new pitch. And while it takes time to grow and sew/set, yep you guessed it, more money to Drogheda for rent
