I reckon that is now pretty likely.
Glentoran's Setanta Cup campaign looks dead and buried, and to be honest this is largely down to the timing of our last 2 fixtures, coming during the last couple of weeks of the irish league in which we need to win 4 out of 4 to be Champions (3 down, 1 to go!). Because of the importance of our league matches, the 2 Setanta matches have been an almighty distraction to the Glens.
Linfield could pull it out of the bag tho. It doesn't really matter if they win the league or not - If they do they will be elated and this will spur them on in their last 2 matches - If they don't it is their last chance to salvage the season. Either way expect Longford to get a hell of a match up at Windsor Park. A draw means that Glentoran are eliminated and Linfield will need to beat the Glens to get to the final. A win for Linfield against Longford and a draw will be enough at the Oval for Linfield to get to the final. However, Linfield would also realise that beating Longford is the only scenario that keeps Glentoran in the competition, who would go to the final if they beat Linfield and ended with the best goal-difference.
An intriguing group, Longford are definite favourites!
