But he is independent of the two clubs.Originally Posted by astalavista

But not independent of the FAI,who are the responsible party for this fiasco. Therefore, he might be accused of showing partiality to the FAI, and support the club who has most to benefit from the ****-up.....theoretical I know, but......Originally Posted by LFC in Exile
Is this much awaited decision to be announced today?
This always amazes me.A football League without the word football in it????Originally Posted by Thunderblaster

Anway whatever happens Carew get my vote.Id just love to see probably the best goalkeeper around for years pick up an FAI medal even at this stage in Gordons career.
[QUOTE=astalavista]anyone got any update on how the arbitration wnt yesterday
wont hear result until monday or tuesday
went well from a carew point of view
I heard Westport thought it went well also and that worse case scenario is the status quo is applied and it goes to a replay.
Not even a % of what limericks richest man got for his Man u shares, one wonders if he is backing Carew , if he did fair play to him i hope Carew go all the way and win it outOriginally Posted by astalavista
Both clubs have one in four outcomes to the arbitration. 1: Carew Park are in the final against Waterford Crystal. 2: Westport United are in the final against Waterford Crystal. 3: Carew Park to play off against Westport United for the right to play Waterford Crystal in the final. 4: The unlikely but remote possibility of the competition being anulled. The guaranteed outcome is likely to come in the form of resignations from the FAI Junior Council. A friend of mine with Westport contacts apparently heard that the FAI Junior Council were caught out by a club barrister. If that story is true, the repercussions for junior football in this country will be enormous.Originally Posted by astalavista

Did anyone hear anything about the arbitration as in terms of a final decision?
I certainly hope not. Waterford Crystal deserve their chance of national glory against whatever is the outcome of the arbitration. I would say at this point that Waterford Crystal would be the most focused team for the final, despite all the disruption.Originally Posted by Bad Bob
the outcome of the court case: there is a replay but the decision is not known where or when it is!
Surely It will be on in Jackman Park..What the story now ??Can whelan and the other Lad that got sent off in the original tie play??Have they seved there Bans??Or is it the FAI that they are banned for??Should the westport lad be banned if the match was null and void??I hope both teams asked these questions of the Fai otherwise this could even drag on further
match fixed for may 29th in Jackman
Are both teams in agreement with the decision or are there more problems to come?
i heard the Westport manager this morning and he was happy with the decision that it was was a replay but didn't know at that time where it was being play, according to here, it on sunday, 29th may in jackman park, so i hope thats the end of it
dont think tat will b the end of it. i hear from a good source that westport have received a letter from the gardai in mayo saying that it will be unsafe for westporet to travel to limerick to play the game
Who's your 'good source'?? This is obviously a load of Bullsh it. A good mate of mines sergeant in Westport and he said that your little nugget of information is pure tripe. Please stop putting this sort of sh1te on this forum, its about football, nothing more.Originally Posted by magicman
