I thoroughly enjoyed reading ' My favourite year'. I think it was produced by the 'When Saturday comes' people. A collection of supporters of various clubs, both big and small give an account of a season which sticks out in their memory.
I particularly enjoyed the account of an Oxford United supporter of the season when Robert Maxwell died. A good read.
Castel di Sangro is also very enjoyable as well as 'Brilliant Orange'.

Hate Arsenal but 'Fever Pitch' by Nick Hornby was excellent.

The film wasn't nearly as good - too much other stuff in it.

Maybe I was feeling mellow. I read it in Burgundy in August 2000 while receiving texts to say that Bray were top of the league!

The day Robert Maxwell died, what a great day!
