Watching the Villa v United game yesterday it crossed my mind that the dream case scenario for us is that Knight becomes a similar player to John McGinn. Similar stature players, McGinn is excellent.
Its really not that complicated!!!
McGinn is one of the best produced by Scotland in recent times ~ ~ And has done very well while not being the biggest or even the fastest.
I think someone here nailed it before re Knight. " Good at everything, very good at nothing"
But he's young enough to still continue to improve.

He might improve - he will need to if he's going to play in the Premier League. Generally speaking, habits formed as youth players are very hard to change in later years.
Scores his 7th goal of the season which finally takes him past his best season scoring wise (6 goals) which also happened to be his debut season.
Though it's taken him 3200 minutes to get to 7 goals whereas he played 2100 minutes scoring six goals in his debut season. Pity Derby went the way they did after that debut season. Might have gotten himself a PL move if he maintained those numbers every season.
He'll get there. I've always been a huge fan. He remains our best midfield prospect and even though it feels like he's been around forever he's only just turned 23.
Has been made Bristol captain.
Bristol one of the more interesting clubs to watch this season from an Irish point of view, could make a good push for playoffs

I like Sykes, but I'm still uncertain as to what his best position is.
I still can't believe he's only 23. Would be a good stage to kick on now. If he's going to be playing as an attacking midfielder then doubling goals and assists from 4+3 to 8+6 would be reasonable.
Another assist today in Bristol’s away win to Norwich. 4 assists and 1 goal in ten games apparently. Appears to be in a consistent run of form according to the fans forum…

Some reflections at year end from Jason.
Jason Knight on Bristol City 'frustration', captain's duty, forward's pressure and Luton test - Bristol Live
First goal since New Year's Day today, a 1-1 draw against Cardiff. O'Dowda given man-of-the-match on whoscored, with Knight just behind. They're two points outside the playoffs - though not sure if he'd survive promotion. Be nice to have the chance to prove he's more than a serviceable Championship centre-mid. He's been that for ever it feels
