Travers is a top half Championship keeper at the moment and could get better - there are plenty of teams in the championship where he would be an upgrade.

A lot of people judge Travers on his poor performance against Servia. However he is far better than that and was having a really successful loan at Stoke when an injury crisis forced Bournmouth to recall him. I reckon he has a big future.

I only saw MOTD highlights. One fine save, albeit one you’d expect a top flight keeper to make. Wolves’ keeper was the busier of the two.

Clean sheet was a bit flattering. Wolves had 2 goals disallowed for fringe decisions where Travers was beaten in real time. Little he could have done with either - just saying the clean sheet involved a break or two.

Seems he might get the gloves for the rest of the season - obviously that's only four more games but would be at least a bit of compensation for having his season effectively ruined by the loan recall. Would give him a chance to either stake his claim for the jersey or put himself in the shop window for a Championship move. Neto is not popular with the support at the moment and Bournemouth may be in the market for a more modern type keeper this summer (someone like Kelleher would fit the job description I suppose).

Tis actually hard to tell which one will be our goalkeeper for the next few years ~ Depends on injuries ~ Whether the goalkeeper is playing first team football or not ~ Lap of the gods stuff !

His one save was brave, sliding out to stop a tight angle shot from close range.

He made a brilliant save as well in a play that was ultimately called offside — an athletic jumping save to tip a ball wide which was heading for the top corner. Great to see him putting together some good performances at Premier League level — as a pure shot stopper he may be our best ‘keeper.

Big test today for Travers as he starts again but play Arsenal away.

Very solid game at Arsenal on Saturday. Some good saves and interventions at important times, though helped by each being one you'd expect him to make. Poor finishing gave him the chance to save (e.g., Saka's failure to placve a shot close to the post early in second half).

Conceded the penalty for the opener. I can't be objective (Arsenal fan) but while I think it was clearly a manufactured contact by Havertz I think Travers also went completely through Havertz's path with his slide. I always maintain that any tackler has to get the ball if he slides through a player's run, or else the ref can give a foul - even if no contact at all. My real time reaction was penalty though I expected replays to show a fair dose of gamesmanship from Havertz. it was arguably similar to Duff in Suwon?

What I liked most about him was his presence and general air of confidence. That's an intangible thing I like to see in a keeper. Kelleher has it now, but didn't 2 years ago. Bazunu has it to a fair degree for Ireland, much less so at club level.

If Bournemouth revert back to Neto as number one or bring in another keeper this summer to be number one think Travers would be a great get for Southampton given Bazunu's injury.
