PFA Premiership Team of the Season

    Cech
    G. Neville Terry Ferdinand Ashley Cole
    Wright-Philips Gerrard Lampard Robben
    Henry Johnson

Personally would not have picked Gerrard maybe Kilbane instead, Carragher maybe.
Would have picked Finnan above Neville.
Heinze probably had a better season than A Cole.
Hard to argue with the rest.

Razor is this the official team of the season or just your own one?

Either way I would disagree with both full backs. Finnan and Heinze definitely. Wouldn't have Gerrard there either, British tabloid hype. Carragher would be pushing for a place.

Definitely Heinze for me; best defender I've seen in years.

Totally agree with the front duo, Henry-Johnson.

    Surely Finnan above Neville...
And Kilbane deserved a place, but I don't know above who..

I always want A.Cole in my team, but I'm a gooner, so...
I'm 21, I'm italian, but I love Ireland, and I always support the irish national team!

neville at full back is ridiculous it should be finnan or hibbert .heinze at left back .
no way gerard should be on the team id put cahill in there .but kilbane does not deserve a place as suggested .

plus its hardly british tabloid hype as suggested it was the pfa that chose it

Sorry Ciaran, but WHY Rooney??? I assume you're a Man Utd supporter He isn't a fraction of the player Henry is. He's like Rio Ferdinand, an english media player

yea i cant agree with rooney he has been only a fraction of the player he was at everton , while henry has to be there he has 30 goals and over 20 assists !!!!.

but again whats with the english media stuff , i thought it was the players choice not the writers !!!

Sorry Anto, should have made that more clear, I was referring to Rooney only being a big name because of the english media, he's at best an average player. He's a striker at a top english club, with about 10 league goals, thats not very good, I think lampard has more, and he's a midfielder.
But no doubt, when the english press pick their team of the season Rooney and Rio will be there, 2 average players.

I think Rooney actually has less than 10 league goals, maybe 6? Our own Robbie Keane has more league goals (11). Anyhow, the players most deserving of the strike positions are Henry and Johnson.

i dont agree with johnson he has scored a good few but about 10 of those have been peno's but for a palace striker to get any is good going . i think he got it mainly coz there has been no really outstanding striker bar henry ,

rooney isnt a striker though and shouldnt be judged on how many goals he scores but how well he plays which isnt that good this year ! so much for alex ferguson being able to controll and mould him into a better player than moyes could , . worse disiplinery record and has tarted slapping girls around .

I am not a Man Utd supporter

I have though seen Rooney play this year a few times and rate him as the best young talent in England.

Henry i think is a good player but from players i have actually seen play this year i have chosen. I chose A.Cole not seeing him play at all this season but from what i seen on tv.

Johnson created 90% of the penos himself so they might aswell have been normal goals.

Well to be fair, most of those pens have been because other team's defenders cant deal with his pace.

rooney isnt a striker though and shouldnt be judged on how many goals he scores but how well he plays which isnt that good this year ! so much for alex ferguson being able to controll and mould him into a better player than moyes could , . worse disiplinery record and has tarted slapping girls around .
Well I agree with that, he's overrated and Everton have done a very smart bit of business there, when you consider they could sign several proven goalscorers for a fraction of the money they got for him. It was noticable how, when faced with quality defenders, Wayne Rooney looked very ordinary eg the matches against Milan. I dont know how many yellow cards he's got per se, but he certainly is as petulant as ever and would do well to curb his outbursts of swearing at the officials. I think Drogba could have been in with a shout for the team had he not been injured for a fair bit of time around Xmas, as he seems to be a very good striker. Pace, strength, great shot and good in the air, he was very impressive against Bayern, who are no push overs.

fair play to johnson he deserves it it s a lot harder to score 20 goals for palace even with peno's than to get 20 for utd or chelsea etc... but i think if ruud had been fit it would have been ruud and henry .

in fairness to rooney he is 19 there are nt too many 19 year olds that the milan defence couldnt handle , but he has more yellow s and his attitude is a lot worse since joining utd ,
great move by everton to sell him plus it will be hard for utd to find the cash to rebuild for next year when they owe everton another 10 mill this summer .

cant agree with the drogba statement he is rubbish not worth anywhere near 25 mill he cost plus he is a striker and id say even rooney has more goals than him ,

Well they've conceeded 20 goals in Serie A, including to teams in and around the bottom (eg Siena, Messina, Livorno). Pierre Wome, a Fulham reject, scored against them for Brescia the other week in the San Sero.

Rooney and Drogba are actually on 10 each in the league. Both have played 25 games. In the CL Rooney has 3 goals in 6 , Drogba 5 goals in 7.

I don't agree on the full backs, Ferdinand or Gerrard. My team would be:

    Cech
    Finnan Terry Carragher Heinze
    Wright-Philips Cahill Lampard Duff
    Henry Robben
