How has this guy gone under the radar? He's 26 and I've never heard of him, he seems to be starting at left back for Lecce in Serie A regularly now. Better than Robbie Brady and Ryan Manning?
Because his career before this season amounted to being loaned out to lower league and even non-league teams from Ipswich when they themselves were in League One. Then he had a loan spell at Kilmarnock, who then took him on and he played regularly for them last season. Somehow that led to a Serie A move. He has been more of a sub than a starter at Lecce ( more Abankwah than Ebosele) but, yeah, the management team should be monitoring his progress closely.
He's probably more deserving than one or two others that have been called up (e.g. Finn), but so far he's mainly a squad player for Lecce. Starts the odd game but mostly doesn't. Doesn't seem to look out of place when he plays. The standard further down the Serie A table isn't great it must be said. But certainly if he nails down a spot as their starting left back in Serie A then he absolutely comes into contention for us.

Has to be in the squad imo, plays in a position we have no depth in, after Manning and Brady its only Kevin O'Toole, Ndaba also can play left sided centre half and Scales is missing also .
There's Honohan also, it will be very interesting to see how he lands in England - will he instantly impress in L1 or will he find his level in the lower divisions?
