Qarabag showing all their experience last 15 slowing and breaking up the game. I hope Linfield nick a goal....

Oppps! They fairly celebrated that winner!

Well the last 10 minutes were evenful. A few ifs and buts for Linfield too, penalty decision at home was key. Ye know it whets the appetite for an all island league. Yes the draw favoured Linfield but they scared the bejaysus out of Qarabag. Some more umm intensity in a domestic competition would be of benefit to any club with European aspiraton.

    2-1 now!

Linfield will be kicking themselves for conceding late goals in both legs

I guess ... 5th best team in Scotland, if not worse. He's 28, prime years. could have a PL club interested if he continues doing well for Qarabag. He was one of the main thorns in Dundalk's side in the 2 matches. Looked class again tonight. Unlucky on Linfield overall though. But they could have lost by more at the same time.

On Dudelange actually - their captain is their keeper, Jonathan Joubert. He's there since 2004, and last year he was on the cusp of playing in the group stages - unfathomable when he joined the club - only to break his leg in the play-off win and miss the entire group stage. At 39, it looked like his last chance had gone. But now, 40 next month, he's saved a penalty and kept them well in the tie (I was watching on skorlive and they're the better team actually). It'd be great for him to get another chance to play in the groups.

Second half of extra time held up to perform the Heimlich manoeuvre on a home player. I've never seen that happen before...

Dudelange are through on penalties; Joubert saved the first and - barring injury!! - will finally make his group stage debut at the age of 40.

The Armenian wait for a first side in the group stages goes on.

Ararat ar eone of those weird new eastern European sides. Formed in 2017 (!) they started in the second level, finished third and were promoted about 20 points behind the other two as the top division expanded from six (!) to nine, then won the league in 2018-19 and couldn't have hand picked a better draw to almost make it to the groups

So actually the Armenian team were the underdogs, wow!

The last Dudelange peno was a peach, in off the butt of the post just past the glks outstretched hand, perfect peno.

Dudelange have won the last 4 titles in Lux and 9 of the last 12 and were in the groups last year so have loads of Euro experience and loads of coefficient. Ararat exist for 2 years!

  18. Thanks From:

One last Euro hurrah for the season so - the Youth League draw is on Tuesday at 1pm. Bohs are our representatives. No pools available yet, but I would say a likely pool is Honka (FIN), ÍA (ISL), Sogndal (NOR), Rangers (SCO), Midtylland (DEN), Elfsborg (SWE) and Derby (ENG)

Bohs V Rangers brings me back 😁 and we usually like Derbies (different kind).
