Staurt Pearce Must Get City Job

Since Pearce took over, City have won back-to-back home games including beating Liverpool, a team they usually struggle against. A comprehensive win over Birminingham last night (admittedly a poor Birmingham), 2 away draws (Fulham and Charlton) and an unlucky loss to Spurs at home in his first game. There are still 4 games to be played this season, and maybe I'm jumping the gun a bit but things are looking up.
According to City sources its Pearce who is responsible for transforming the defence from leaky and unpredictible to one of the tighter defences in the Premiership. In fairness it was hardly Keegan!
When he was a player he was uncompimising and took responsibility for his own actions. Looks like he has carried that through to Management as well. He has come out and said he takes responsibility for Citys form getting worse as the season went on, even though he was not in charge. Also in his first few games there were 2 controversial refereeing decesions that led to goals. He refused point blank to criticise either ref and thats refreshing in the Premiership these days.
He clearly wants the job badly, the fans want him, and he's done the business so far.
    Overall a class act.

I reckon they will go with S.P.
The players seemd to have responded well to his style of play and hopefully he gives all the Irish lads a chance there too. Dunne looks like he is getting better every week and Willo Flood hopefully will break into the 1st team more often next season.Good luck to Macken too.

It's looking more and more that it will be Pearce. Dunno about Flood making the break through, he's got SWP in front of him for his favored right wing slot, and Lee Croft was on the bench in his place last night. He might get a chance at left wing, depends if Musampa makes his loan permanent though.

Yeah, i'd be a bit concerned for Flood next season. There are a couple of lads ahead of him in the queue. Last time I saw him was against Bolton and he couldnt get into it. He looked far too lightweight and was getting knocked off the ball a lot. Bolton are a very physical side though, and Flood with a bit of space to run at defenders looks like he can cause mayhem. Hes made some good appearances for City but I'd definitely like to see him bulk up a bit. Maybe a few pointers from Andy Reid would help...
