Thumbs up Semi-Pro 4 Nations - in Cobh!

    Good evening people of Cobh.

What great news that your ground has been selected to host two scotland internationals at the end of May.
What bad news that you're getting me to come and grace your terracing (or is it all seater?).

Haha, no thought I'd come on and say Im really looking forward to coming over for these games - and thanks to the folks who posted further down the board good places to stay etc - Ive got my stay booked already.

What like a place is Cobh honestly?? How good is the ground?
How likely is Irish success this summer.

You certainly played well over here (Aberdeenshire, Scotland) last year and am hopeful of a real cracker this time round.

Look forward to reading your responses.

Hey-I posted about this tournament in "World Football"
Am looking foward to it (hopefully I can make it back to Cobh for some of the games). Seriosuly Cobh is a great place (I would say that ) and you'll have a brilliant time! i recommend the Bella Vista to stay-you will not find a nicer place or such firnedly staff
Lot's of great history to have a look at-the Queenstown Story is deffinatly worth a look and we've got one of the best Cathedrals in Europe-called St. Colemans, same as our stadium. We do have one stand. Our stadium is really nice though and the club house has a great atmosphere before and after games-am sure they'll put on something special for this!
If your in Cobh on a Sunday the Commadore hotel does the best Sunday roast!

Obviously the other lads on here who actually live in Cobh might have some more/better suggestions but i spend a fair bit of time there so that's my recommendations-will try an answer any questions!
Long live the Pope! Free Burma (NLD/SNLD), Free Tibet (Burma Campaign/Free Tibet Campaign Alliance), Free the Rossport 5! (ACCOMPLISHED 30/09/05)

ya i would back that up. the commodore is a a half decent night club to go to but only after a lot of ale and watch out for the odd idiot about the place trying to be a hero. the pitch is a beautiful surface but the ground itself can be disappointing. good crack though when it fills up on the rare occasion.

    Thanks

Been having PC problems since my return, but I'd like to thank the people of Cobh for what was a great holiday last week.
Particular mention to the staff at the Bella Vista Hotel & the chap at Mimmo's Takeaway who were top folk.
Also to the two ladies at the Ramblers shop who spent a good 5/10 minutes trying to find me a Ramblers shirt that wasnt XXL last Thursday.

Good luck for the rest of what hopefully will be a promotion winning season & I must/Will return sometime soon.

    Andrew

p.s - in those photos liked above, you can clearly see me in my Scotland top in no.27
