Limerick moved up one place to third from bottom of the eircom League First Division, following a 2-1 win over Sligo Rovers at Jackman Park on Sunday. Rovers, who started the season as title contenders but have slipped close to the bottom of the table, lost their fifth consecutive match, despite taking a 1-0 lead through a David O'Dowd goal after nine minutes. John Whyte equalised from the penalty spot after 26 minutes and Mannering gave the hosts their seventh league win of the season with a 68th minute strike.
