Haven't read the whole thread but I'm sure people are picking up on this after his wonder goal but you're kind of right. Wouldn't say he was lost but it's definitely going to take him a while to figure out who he can link up best with etc. He was literally all over the midfield. Think he started to link up very well with McEleney before the injury. Ironically I'd suggested for a few weeks now that Murray would replace Benson in that team

In his limited appearances to date Sean Murray has shown that he is likely to have a big impact in Dundalk's midfield. This is a seriously talented player who has great movement and drive. As his fitness improves his quality will become more apparent. Robbie Benson's injury simply means he is going to get the game time needed sooner than later

It was hardly a wonder goal. Good strike from the edge of the area alright.

I can't get my head around his at all. Watched it back about 10 times now to see this supposed touch by Vojic.

Of course it didn't touch Vojic it went through his leg, Vojic reaction when the goal went it in wasn't exactly celebrating as if he was claiming the goal.

LOI website here still lists Boyle as the goalscorer - https://www.sseairtricityleague.ie/m...M100GLVVH56HPG

Smacks of Rovers attempting to fiddle their stats for their young new striker to give him a boost hoping he becomes the new Twigg. Boyle's reply to the Rovers on twitter says it all

Theres another angle of it from behind the goal, 100% hits of someone but hard to tell if its Vojic or the waterford player.

His celebrations would suggest it hits him, he wouldn't leave that fans and got booked for it too.

Didn't get to the game on Friday, but going by reports Rovers were good value for their win.
A good start, and an interesting game against a Derry side full of optimism coming up next week.

This is what kept me awake on Friday night.
I'd say the rovers mangt team spent ages debating who to give the goal too. Clearly huge deal

one swallow does not make a summer. Honestly Carr was malogen in the first half the amount of times we lost pocession through a poor 1st touch was very noticeable. He did play much better in the 2nd half tbf. Greg Bolger was a rock when he came on simple passing that always seemed to find a team mate. Eathan Boyle honest as the day is long but very average. Great first night in the league brilliant crowds at all venues is going to live football matches in Ireland now trendy, looking at the way Bohs have cultized themselves..........possibly maybe or perhaps. Cant even get a ticket to sneak meself into the jodier apparently. KOH

Car was super on the wing last few games last year, it was frustrating how many times he didn't back himself against the full back. I'd say TC will change that

.....and they would have 'got away' with it as well if it wasn't for that pesky poster

As was shown at the U19 final shams are not big on winning players names.

What are you on about now? Everyone condemns incidents like these, nobody is happy about incidents like this, nobody is happy about City’s team bus being smashed up either.

“Neither are as bad as first feared,” says Vinny Perth regarding Benson and McEleney’s injuries. Well that’s a relief certainly.

With RTÉ not holding the rights to highlights until Monday it would be great if the clubs started putting together some decent highlights package for their YouTube channels. Some clubs have done it in the past but having to wait til Tuesday to post them, they kind of lost their appeal

How ironic that it is the virtuous Cork City fans, especially CorkRebel, have had to appear on here in a poor attenpt to defend the indefensible or point fingers elsewhere. They claimed Cork fans are not capble of such behaviour and scoffed when it was said that all clubs have fans that can embaress our clubs, but not Cork - sure their players wont even tackle.

Do you honestly believe that City fans simply walked into a pub full of casually dressed Pats fans and their English buddies from Sheffield Wednesday and simply started throwing bottles at kids and old fellas, seriously?
7-10 City fans decide to take on a whole pub outnumbered by about 5 to 1? For decades now City fans have been getting hassle at games in Dublin involving certain clubs with the exception of Rovers in recent times who generally leave us alone. When is the last time there was serious trouble involving away fans getting attacked in Cork? It is ingrained in City fans now when travelling to Dublin to be aware of potential trouble. And yes we do have fans who will defend themselves when attacked.
Not much commentary about the City team bus getting attacked and windows smashed afterwards.

That's exactly what happened and those lads with their (Sheffield United) mates don't drink in McDowell's which makes it even more strange.

Cork fans also done the same in the Black Lion up the road on the way down to McDowells
    Here on a technicality.

    * Sheffield United

There's also been more commentary on the pub incident(s) than the bus because Pats fans haven't bizarrely argued against any criticism of a small group of supporters' actions to anywhere near the frankly bizarre extent that many Cork fans have.
