Poor enough game at Dalymount. Breeze and bumpy pitch didn’t help but both sides looked nervy. Bohs did enough to deserve points but second half was atrocious stuff from both. Harps solid enough but lacked anything going forward. Cretaro provided any imagination but was lucky not to have been sent off (second yellow) just before he was subbed.
Good 3 points but a forgettable game.

Needs more time to put that package together? It's bad enough waiting this long with Collins waffling on about whether it's time (after ONE f**king game) for teams to panic.

Stuart Byrne - manages to turn a question about Finn Harps chances this season into 'three strong Dublin clubs this season'.
https://kesslereffect.bandcamp.com/album/kepler - New music. It's not that bad.

It's believed that Benson's broken his leg, 5 minutes into the season, gutted for him. On the bright side we have Murray to come in, who looked promising tonight.

There were a few tackles worthy of straight reds in Oriel for sure, on Shields and McEleney mainly but even a few others could have shaded a second yellow. Sligo have an edge that you dont associate with a Buckley side. The will pick up points especially at home if they graft in defence like they did tonight though with a little more composure and luck Dundalk would have taken the 3 points.

What happened at Pats to find over 3000 people to get to go to a game?

Bohs/Harps was a poor quality affair, Bohs did enough after their goal to deserve the win, it's going to be a very long season for Harps they still looked like a First Division team tonight
The Leinster Senior League needs a strong Bohemians

Just like after last year's opening night draw with Bray, we have no chance of winning the league...

just in from the windy south east, Rovers deserved winners in the end with a good 2nd half performance. Actually playing into the strong wind seemed to suit Rovers as the ball held up nicely for our lads to get onto the diagonal ball played down the side. Carr had a mare in the first half with Eathan Boyle also struggling, thought Finn did well he seemed to get forward a lot more that a lot of games last Season. We did miss a lot of chances though. Fantastic support there tonight looked more than our allocation of 700. A game we would have got little from last season.

Ah in fairness I imagine being a pundit is much like doing the Leaving Cert Irish oral, unless it's changed since my day, if you don't like the question topic you take the question you're asked, answer it briefly then talk about something slightly connected for a bit so you don't just end up with 10 second answers

I was surprised he even played in the first place to be honest. As much as people cited him being in full time training with Aberdeen I think there's a difference between what his situation was there and being completely match ready (by his standards). He had some nice touches when he got involved but given he was essentially given a free role behind Drennan he wasn't as present as you'd want. The more he plays the better he'll be you'd imagine.

    Well deserved win.
Ronan Finn was immense , have to take my hat off to him considering mceneff Byrne Watts all out their as well and he might have been under pressure. Great to see Trevor Clarke come on for last 15 mins.

Absolutely delighted with Derry cities performance tonight. It could have been 6-0. Over 70% possession and as serious number of shots on and off target. Time will tell if we're as good as what we looked tonight.

If we are, Derry city might actually compete this season for top four.

Finn is what Dundalk have missed to push on in Europe ever since he left

Hard to know what to make of us tonight, reality is in the second half Bohs missed a couple of sitters and we struggled to create anything, should have went 1 up though but then we're punished before half time which had as much to do with a Center half playing left back and not covering across than anything special from Bohs, Dundalk next and then Pat's away ,it won't be getting any easier!

It was a sickener to lose to a goal with the last kick of the game at the RSC especially a soft goal from a corner. Lovely free kick from Kevin Lynch on his debut to give us the lead. Rovers dominated the 2nd half and Greene equalised. They had a lot of chances but looked like Waterford had held on for a draw till Boyle's last gasp winner.

Harps had a good first half hour ,Bohs looked as if they never played together before.Tgen Dinny scored and second half Bohs clicked and should have been three up.
Bad challenge from Raf,unlike him, should have been a second yellow.
Huge crowd, bars hopping and a lot of new members and season tickets sold.Very good Harps support 100+
Harps are a big physical side and will cause problems for a lot of teams.
Depressing that McDowells attacked wtf Cork?
