Penalty box markings ? I thought they were made up - or at least very very flexible 😁

It will hardly make too much of a difference - he's after bagging a hat trick inside the first 15 mins!

In dundalk it only has to be around the box so the markings aren't as important as in every other ground. Unfortunately that doesn't matter tonight

    Are you UCD in disguise?!

(Joking aside, we've to play Dundalk twice next week...)

Quite a few changes tonight, but nowhere near enough to make tonight's defeat acceptable. Fair play to Dundalk, and hopefully we put up a better fight in a few weeks time.

At least it's FT (It was over after 14 mins). Shocking "defending " on what was an unacceptable display by Bohs.
Fair play to Dundalk they smelt blood and finished it off early doors. They have really hit form for the run in.
Hoban definitely "finished" but Perth might get another week !
Little, if anything, positive for Bohs to take. Talbot got suspension out of the way and em, that's it ! Need a reaction for Friday.

Dundalk were good tonight. Pressing high, working hard, and creating lots of chances. Bohs were poor though; very sloppy, and lethargic. Our most difficult games have been against Bohs this season, so tonight came as a big surprise.

So the 7 league games you've drawn or lost weren't your most difficult games but the games that you've won against Bohs were? Interesting take on things.

Bohs have certainly caused us more problems in league games in Oriel Park this season than any other team. Derry City and Sligo Rovers both got draws in Oriel Park, but it's questionable if either deserved it on the balance of the play. Bohs on the other hand were very unlucky on both league visits even if comprehensively beaten in Dalymount in the league and wiped out totally tonight

4 goals in the Bohs net and he was sitting back eating a banana with 15 minutes still left on the clock the last time i seen him
Any news on the Bohs bus that broke down 6 miles outside of Dundalk? They were the lucky ones
Hopefully they at least made it to C'Bellingham for a consolation pint and a hang sangdwitch.

Interesting debate about where the league Cup final should be played, luck of the draw for one team to be at home or a neutral venue. Personally think it should be luck of the draw but the ground should meet certain standards to be in the draw and if neither teams ground meets the standards play it at a neural venue that does and is as close to midway between the clubs as possible.

The precedent for a draw (transparent or otherwise) is already established as is the fact that the grounds used by both finalists meet licencing criteria - there is probably little to debate about this seasons final.

My personal preference would be for a neutral venue where that is likely to be a financially viable option considering the teams involved

We held it alredy, was fine for the crowd a League Cup final attracts (Derry would prob bring more than Rovers did though)

We dont mind playing it away, won it away to yourselves aswell

That was painful. After Friday I had some hope going up there but we got well and truly turned over. Back to the League and Cup so.

Bohs v Longford has a big act to follow now - 18 goals in two games!

I would prefer a neutral venue for a final, but that would probable mean a venue in Dublin. Would sufficient numbers travel for it? In this case, I think they would.
