Shelbourne and Shamrock R crowds both very bad at this carry on in Galway this season. Much more than 5% of their followers involved, say up 20%. So sad to see this english behavior going on here, could these dubs not go over the water for their soccer.

I've always felt the pitch incursions in Galway were a bit different to anywhere else, the stewards are great down there and it always seems like good natured craic rather than aggressive.
I'm not excusing the incursions as much as pointing out how well the Galway stewards deal with the fans in general and create a friendly welcoming atmosphere.
Some of the incursions elsewhere have just been of the gurrier variety.
Trouble is its hard to ignore in one place and condemn in others.

It's extremely rare to see anyone going on to a pitch in English or Scottish football these days as a result. And very easy to deal with those who do, as most have the sense not to follow them.
Totally agree. while most pitch incursions are harmless enough in itself there really does need to be a zero tolerance policy. It is never justified.
