670 in Terryland last night, according to Twitter. Bottom of the 1st Division now too.

The Leinster game is at 3pm today, so if clashing with that was such a big concern it could have been played afterwards.

Though surely the primary aim should have been to avoid a clash with fixtures in the same sport, before worrying about a completely different game. I doubt there would've been a huge overlap in attendance between the charity game and the Leinster match anyway.

Possibly the only positive about this season has been our home attendances. Five home losses out of five and we're still getting very respectable attendances considering how poor we have and how grim this season has been. Rock bottom of the First Division - grim.

    2,174 Shelbourne
    1,216 Bray
    803 Drogheda
    712 Limerick
    670 Cobh

You may thank John Delaney and the FAI for those positive attendances, of course.

Though if they continue to fall then it's clearly Galway's fault alone.

Absolutely. I am amazed that they haven't fallen by more and the patience our supporters have shown so far.

You can't expect supporters to just show up every week when you're losing constantly and playing poorly. It's entertainment at the end of the day. Last night was a particularly demoralising loss.

That's true. Very patient supporters, but clearly a downward trend. Just thinking today about the 2,800 or so that were there when Dundalk were beaten off the back of beating BATE a few days earlier. Good times. Was only 3 years ago but feels a long long time ago now.

Under 600 in Longford tonight, disappointed as last two home games were over 700

1748 in the Showgs according to ET, didn't hear it announced but it is line with my estimate. Not bad seeing we lost 4 on the bounce and it was a dreaded Fri/Monday weekend.

    2748 Dundalk v Bohs.
Decent crowd up from bohs on a poor night, weather wise to be standing on that away terrace.
Plenty of action to keep both set of fans warm.

Well done to all that attendance especially the travelling Bohs fans for a Monday night with all the weather conditions.

Hope the FAI Bigwigs take note that the "Problem Child" is the fans game and well worth promoting to its maximum!

Great crowd at Oriel in what was an awful night. Less said about the 'away' section probably the best but even many home fans will have been soaked in what was a baaaaaaad night. I presume its the AGS morons but keeping 'away' fans for 20 minutes after FT in the pouring rain is an absolute disgrace. The fact that most fans of both clubs mingle outside before and after only highlights how ridiculous it is.
Hopefully the fixture pile up wont hinder the increase in crowds this year across the league, there may be hope for the LOI yet !

Our lowest of the season anyway, maybe 1,200 at a push.

They kept the Bohs fans and officials who were put in the caged area in the most expensive stand in the league, behind too.Meanwhile, the 30/40 fans who opted to sit outside that area, were free to toddle off at full time and have a friendly drink and chat with Dundalk fans at half time.

They did the same when Longford played their in 2015, even tho we were free to use the bar at HT. The security and Gardai up there really are idiots

20 minutes? Ffs like, its a little more than the 'several minutes' that Mickey Duffy announcement suggests. It doesnt make a whole lot of sense considering the way fans mix before the game. I can only presume that they thought emotions might have been running a bit high after the late penalty and kept Bohs fans back longer than usual. Its a shame that it has to happen at all but then the criticism there would be if there was any incident outside the ground would be severe, so damned if you do and damned if you dont. Quick fix needed like a nice new council built ground lol.

To be fair, it's probably just the Gards at most football matches in Ireland go out expecting trouble. Said it before but what Bohs have to put up with from AGS is way worse than we do in Tallaght, and there's no more trouble there than here, which is to say **** all.
