Nigel if you get onto James Donnelly or Padraig Stapleton(the younger bro) on twitter they would be happy to give you the figures as I tried looking up written match reports for those games and nothing was mentioned!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

The "best supported team in the country" were very, very low on numbers at the Brandywell tonight. Credit to the 6 or 7 who were in attendance.

Must be the away section in the Brandywell that put them off travelling....

The attendance read out over the intercom at Sligo-Dundalk sounded like 4,079. Maybe I heard wrong. But I thought it looked more than that? Showgrounds looked lovely on telly packed out all the same.

Ya that is the right figure, it was a sell out AFAIK.

LOL at the bitter digs. Top of the attendance charts for the last 5 years and when we are 3rd from bottom in a wretched season the pops come out for a poor away attendance on the other side of the country. Sad feckers.

I listened online to it as RTE blocked it to the 6 counties on Sky and RTE PLAYER.

Strange comment considering the claims that few travel to Oriel due to the away section. I can understand your frustration and subsequent crankiness though!

I was one of 7 Dundalk away fans at Turners Cross less than 7 years ago. Alll struggling LoI teams will bring tiny numbers to long distance away matches.

Bad form from that shower. People from across the 32 counties of Ireland should be able to watch all content unhindered.

A team really needs support when they're struggling. Easy turn up when challenging for trophies.

Take your own advice Johnny kid. Derry's figures are hardly inspiring, particularly 2015 and 2014.

Blocked at the direction of the FAI according to RTE and Sky from tweets I've seen on my timeline. Noel Mooney responded on Friday saying he wasn't aware of it and would get it resolved in time for Friday nights game but that didn't happen.

Do you pay a TV licence like we have to for the privelage?

No as its been done to death, I was offering it as reason or claim of reason for Cork fans not travelling to Oriel.

I live just over the border, so RTE blocked the game on my sky, but worked fine on a smart tv in another room, just search for RTE, page 800 something, I'd imagine same will work up in Derry v S Armagh.
