Seems a bit silly to be turning away paying customers, particularly as its a game that often gets people hooked on LOI but if the AGS make the call there is very little SRFC (or any club) can do. Fair to say the development of LOI is not an AGS priority ! There was plenty of room in the stand we were in the other night and it could easily have facilitated another couple of hundred, frustrating that the money is lost to clubs and the chance to attend lost to fans and potential fans.
The policing the other night was excellent and I didn't see any real incidents either in or around the ground (couple of bottles thrown at Talbot by a couple of morons after FT but nothing more). given the controversy it was very well behaved (but still as passionate as ever).

The attendance tonight will be interesting for Dundalk v Rovers, I know there was an extra 100 away tickets given, so that might allow for 600-650 away support, 500 max away terrace, maybe 150 max stand. Dundalk will probably account for at least 3.5k, so it should be well over 4k for this game. I think the safe capacity is now 5.5k in Oriel Park these days.

No online tickets also for this game, so not sure how that will affect the numbers.

I would be surprised if the current safe holding certificate is even 4,500.

It's more of a derby than the likes of Derry-Harps or Cork-Waterford realistically are (or worse still, Sligo-Galway).

Who else would you have down as being a derby rival for Bray ? They're only about 8kms apart.

The Devlin factor would make it of interest too. Plus the fact that Cabo have asked before about groundsharing in the Carlisle.

Think calling it "a derby of sorts" is entirely fair.

More of a derby or a bigger Derby; it's six of one, half dozen of the other. C
Cork/Waterford and Derry/Harps are derbies that draw big crowds and have seen tension occur in-game between the two sides. Bray and Cabinteely are meeting each other in the League of Ireland for the first time this year in a fixture that had 600 people and probably the tenacity of a pillow fight.

Nowhere was it suggested that Bray v Cabo was bigger.

It was just suggested that a "derby" tends to involve teams closer than 75 miles apart. There's a difference between a rivalry and a derby.
