Don't know where Martinho has got that figure from. I've been in Cobh previously where you'd wonder if there was even 100 in the ground but on Saturday there was a nice crowd in the main stand. 350 sounds right to me.

Read something over the weekend, the average in the 5 PD games on Friday was 2,700. I’m almost sure the average running total for last season was just over 2k.

In comparison, the season average for the Irish League prem was 1,090 last season.

Definite increase in crowds this year. Great to see and hopefully will continue. Bigger crowds encourage more people into grounds (and people bringing friends etc) also acts as an attraction for tourists which all adds up to bigger crowds which......
Great also to see a big increase in the number of tourists visiting grounds. Some clubs have marketed well and deserve credit for it.

There is that feeling of LoI being trendy or something. It doesnt get near the lambasting from the barstooler types. Id like to think the catalyst was Dundalk's European game and determination to not change the style of fooball. Obviously there is the community work at Bohs and Im sure other clubs have their initiatives. What is great to see on TV is the packed Jodi Stand and the Dalymount roar when a goal is scored - the impression is very good (as long as the camera doesnt pan around to the dugout side...

I saw it on the Shannonside match report but I stand corrected!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

I couldn't go today but I heard the away support was around 700-800. Seems very high, others who went might have a better opinion.

I thought there was about 1170 Dundalk fans and the 6 UCD fans there

There were a good few 'neutrals' (Rovers fans mainly) out on a pleasant bank holiday day. I'd have put the Dundalk support more at the 5-600, as I dont think the stand was half full of Dundalk fans and ye dont get the same amount of fans dotted about at UCD as you would in say Dalymount where there could be away fans in the Des Kelly and some in the Jodi Stand. That said, I usually try and take a walk behind a goal or opposite side to get and idea of the crowd at games but didn today. With the weather being good most Dundalk fans were in one of the uncovered wings of the stand or standing at the pitchside.

I'd say over 6,000 in Tallaght. Maybe 6,500.

1100 Bohs there. Seems a lot more comparing the crowd to what Dundalk brought judging from the pictures on tv.

Oh lets not start the argument about how many Dundalk brought to Tallaght again!

The argument was more about the appallingly slow reactions of the stewards and AGS in dealing with an overcrowding safety issue. The understated numbers claimed by some Rovers heads was just a red herring

Unless those who know are talking solely about Tallaght Stadium, then they're talking out of their collective arses
