Ive often left Oriel Park promptly after a game and by the time the home crowd is still filtering out the away fans are let leave, if the result is settled groups of away fans start to leave early and end up migling with the home crowd also. It's not usually as long as 20 minutes wait. Even in Drogheda when having to wait and walk across the pitch to leave it wouldnt be that long. The weather cant really be factored in but it adds to the frustration if waiting in the p1ssing rain for that time. Its not quite the same but in regard to poor weather and the open away terrace in Oriel, I cant remember who but its not that long ago that away fans were let in to the stand from the terrace during an bad squall of rain. The club got a rap over it probably from Gardaí. It was only maybe 20-30 people. I cant see why Bohs would be treated more strictly by the Gardai than any other club. There hasnt been any grief in Dundalk for many many years, 1990s I reckon!

AGS see it as a training exercise when Bohs come to Tallaght, masked Gardai, horses , dog units , motorbike escort for Luas back to town, Garda helicopter at one stage ffs. They are just short of their aquatic unit running an inflatable up the canal beside the Luas from Blackhorse to Suir Road. Presumably they charge Rovers for some of this ott crap.?

Doubt they charge shams anything for all the 'extras'. security in and immediately around the ground is all they can charge for AFAIK. AGS have always tried to play up the hooligan nonsense, despite the fact it was never more than a few idiots at a handful of clubs. At one point they had a 'football intelligence Unit' (think its gone now) 3 full time Gardaí dealing with the hooligan 'problem'

Wannabe Rambos playing tough at LOI matches (they would be better off trying to clear the roads around Croke park before/after bogball games)

I was chatting to a good few Bohs fans in the bar in the middle part of the stand before the game on Monday, and a good few got in at HT, all seemed a decent bunch.

It won’t always be possible but it will for most games, I`d advise away fans going to Dundalk to pay the extra fiver and go the stand, (usually have 100-150 seats segreated at the front) better view & covered and access to the bar in most cases.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), first Irish club to win points in a group stage in Europe (2016).

I was in that area on Monday night. No access to bar before, during or after the match and kept in at FT, a few Bohs players that weren't playing tried to join us but were moved back by the steward. Some Bohs fans did go into the 'home' area without any problems.Stewards even made a big deal about letting a few kids go to the shop in that stand.

Facilities for away fans at oriel are nothing short of a disgrace, although, to be fair, home fans are not treated much better.

There seems to be two levels of policing at Rovers games. Most games you'd see AGS around but they're hands off and the local Gards generally know to let people be. Then you have other games where the same Gards are around the stadium but there are outside Gards going out of their way to make their presence known, which is usually the big games like Bohs. But occasionally you get the lads on horses at Longford or Wexford games and it's pretty obvious they just need to spend their budget.

1300 at Bray last night, we barely ever got that in the Premier division.

Great numbers going to watch Derry. The club should get on to Arlene to spent some of the Tory "cash for votes" money on extending the new stand.

There's £32m available to spend on club football stadia in NI.

But without a working Stormont, no-one can access it.

2,616 announced at Dundalk v Harps. A good few seemed surprised as it looked just over 3k.

Don't know and haven't seen any official figures, but the crowd looked pretty bad for us vs Sligo on Friday. I'd say about 1300 ish.
