    Clinton Morrison

Linked with moves to Southampton and Cardiff in the sunday papers. He does need regular first team football if he wants to keep his place.

I would have thought a player of Clintons quality would be able to sustain a place in a premiership team , one of the newly promoted teams maybe

I think half the problem with Clinton is that when he seems to be getting a run in the team he gets injured and he out for long spells and takes him a while to get back into it. I still not sure about him. He looks excellent sometimes and then a week later he can be crap.

Cardiff !! They just avoided relegation. Southampton would be ok but I agree he should be looking at a Premiership team (e.g. West Brom). Warming the bench at St Andrews is no good for him or us.

Cardiff will do well this year though, especially if they sign Clinton.

You think? I'd have them down as mid-to-bottom at best

really surprised my club sunderland have not made a bid ... looks like we spending 1mill on andy gray from sheffu today when the money would be much better spent on morrison ... hopefully mick will get in there with a cheeky sub 1 mill bid soon ...

Link below claims Southampton and Sheffield United are looking into signing him. He'd be better with Southampton. Sheffield United have s**tloads of strikers. Dissappointing though the way he can show flashes of brilliance for Ireland on certain occasions (his goals against Israel, China and Switzerland for example) yet he can't get a starting spot in a premiership team.

Anytime that he has got a decent run for Birmingham he has banged in the goals and he was had a great partner ship with Forssell and also with Heskey for a period I think he has been mistreated by Bruce, and I think Steve Bruce even admitted that too. I cant believe that one of the promoted clubs dont bid for him or even West Brom or Blackburn. I think him and Bellamy would be a good partnership too as Blackburn lack goals up front.

Can't see Clinton wanting to move further up North. Reckon he would opt for a move down south if the chance came.

When he was initially approached by Birmingham, it was suggested the move wouldn't go through because he wanted to stay close to his family in London, the same thing happened with Steven Reid when he went to Blackburn

Morrison is good enough for the Premiership.

He should fight for his place at Birmingham if no other top flight club comes in for him.

That would be Clinton's manor alright. I think he will go to Southampton in the end.

Remember the time he "took a lift home" from a bunch of lads with a job lot of Class A drugs in the boot! I'd love to know the real story there.

He gave Clinton his break into international football after only seeing him play twice (possibly once) for the U-21's, brought him to the World Cup. If anything is stopping Mick from making an approach, it's money
