Irish Sun: Liam Is Key To City's Future

Liam Murphy has been given the 'vote of confidence' by Chairman Michael O'Leary.

Quoted in todays paper, O'Leary said: "We recently gave Liam a contract for 2 more seasons after this oneso that shows how happy we are. His position is not under threat in any shape or form."

"He has been a very stabilising unfluence since he took over.He came in at a difficult time last season yet we ended up qualifying for Europe and we are in contention to do so again."

"The club is laying important foundations for the future and Liam is a vital part of that. He is pursuing a a youth policy that we endorse, and which will bear fruit in the future."

Like I said, Monty Python. They should rename the club The Graham Chapman Memorial Soccer Club.

    Read between the lies for.....

We couldn't find anyone else after sacking the last manager during a game, he doesn't need any transfer funds with these young felllas & we can seel them off for a few extra quid when they get a bit better....

Pete is spot on in his analysis of the comments. But isn't a vote of confidence normally paranoia-inducing for a manager:......... fingers crossed!
