    I actually

dont like the idea of competing with JW, simply because he does an excellent job of it, he is the best. I would really like to see a stato corner

Like this one for top scorer

Or this for a league table

    Fixtures would be great aswell.

This would be a great idea for up and coming events supporters club meetings, AGM's draws, Table quizes and fixtures aswell.

But as regards news and that, i wouldn't go there, not to compete with JW. Shooting all ourselves in the foot me thinks.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Am I the only person who's just read this entire thread thinking it was posted in the last 12 hours?

Good decision on no Premier**** forum, BTW.

i would think by adding different/foreign leagues forums you are more than likely going to get more hits/users in the short term.

but i think long term you would loose the unique atmosphere and quality that we currently have here.
other leagues do pop into the daily grind through general football etc but the driving force for posters is the e/l which logic dictates to me,will be taken over by english football talk.

i would still log in and post etc but i think i share the opinion of the vast majority here that you would be giving up the "high ground" you/we are currently on to become "just another website".this website is head and shoulders above anything else out there where e/l soccer is concerned.

i am not being sarcastic here but i think the e/l community (well all of us on here)would be a poorer place.

No Brendy, although I copped on when I saw Magoo had posted (back around today bizarrely!).
If you attack me with stupidity, I'll be forced to defend myself with sarcasm.

if the discussion is still open id say keep things as they are.

if the number of people signing up is a problem, then on a another football board that i post on they asked for people to hand out flyers at matches.

of course this could be difficult on account of cost or if people would be willing to help but its just an idea and seemed to work well on the other site
