Rijkaard Did Speak To Frisk At Interval

    from r.t.e.aertel
A UEFA report confirmed that a meeting
did take place between Barcelona boss
Frank Rijkaard and match referee Anders
Frisk during the half time interval at
    the Barcelona and Chelsea clash.

    UEFA's venue director Pascal Faratellia
confirmed: "The referee told us he had
contact with Rijkaard from the pitch to
the front of his dressing room door.

"Rijkaard wished to say hello at the
beginning of the tunnel and then tried
to talk to him climbing the stairs.

"Frisk told him it was not the place or
moment to speak about the match."

Chelsea are claiming that this vindicates their position. Far from it IMO.

    Rijkard is implicated clearly.

    Frisk is totally vindicated.

Chelsea's claim was that Frisk had been sympathetic to Barcelona on the basis of some cozy half-time chat, and consequently this led to the threats on frisk's family. Chelsea should still be ashamed of themselves but with thugs like Kenyon & Mourinho in charge, and a dodgy Russian billionaire I somehow doubt they will be.

Separately, I wonder how Duffer felt playing in front of a home crowd singing "Ingerland, Ingerland...".

Wouldn't think it would bother Duffer at all,he's picking up a nice wage,he's getting first team football, playing in the champions league, about to win the premiership, thats all he's concerned with imo.

Well he is playing for an English club from England
"I don’t want to tempt fate, but Thierry Henry is not having one of his best nights." - RTE co-commentator Jim Beglin, minutes before TH struck the stunning winner.

I've never heard English club fans chanting for their country at a club game, that's all.
